Its hardly surprising. Kasab is India's trump card in this. Without him, India could not have convinced the world who are the real perpetrators of this terrorist act. Pakistan would do its best to get rid of the guy.

Then what makes it true? Who is to vouch for a supposed intercepted call as claimed by RAW? Give the other side some credit. Operational details are not discussed over telephony lines that can easily be bugged, snooped and sniffed.

When rudimentary Taliban tactics rely on more advanced ways of communication, why is the poor ISI considered to be so stupid to be discussing such things over the air waves for anyone to capture? Anyone with a sense of reality would discount this as another in the line of constant propaganda being churned out for domestic consumption.

ISI's plan to kill Kasab revealed

The Research and Analysis Wing (RA&W) is said to have revealed a conspiracy by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI to eliminate Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist behind the 26/11 strikes, Headlines Today reported.

The RAW is said to have intercepted a telephonic conversation that reveals a plan to kill Kasab, who is currently in the custody of the Mumbai Police Crime Branch.

The intelligence agency has revealed that ISI has sought gangster Chhota Shakeel's help to carry out the task. The intercepts were tracked to Bhuj in Gujarat.

I hope indian agencies are taking it "seriously" this time....

MUMBAI: The city police on Tuesday strongly denied reports that Karachi-based gangster Chhota Shakeel had been contracted to kill terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, who is currently in police custody in connection with the 26/11 attacks.

"If that had to be true, then we would be the first to be informed as Kasab is in our custody. There has been a threat to his life since the time he was arrested. That is the reason why we do not take him to court for extending his custody. We will also ensure his safety in jail once he is remanded in judicial custody,'' said joint commissioner of police (crime) Rakesh Maria.

Meanwhile, Maria said delegations from various countries whose citizens were killed in the 26/11 terror attacks were conducting a separate probe into the case.

"If they are conducting a probe it is implied that they have registered criminal cases. This came out during our meetings,'' he said.

Maria, however, ruled out these countries asking for Kasab's extradition. Of those killed in the attacks, 26 were nationals of foreign countries, including the US, Germany, Malaysia, Israel, Mexico, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand and Mauritius.

On the date of filing the chargesheet against Kasab, Maria said, "We are awaiting some expert opinion. We will file the chargesheet within the stipulated 90-day period."

A three-member team comprising additional commissioner of police (detection) Deven Bharti and two inspectors reached the US on Tuesday and will meet FBI officials to discuss various issues related to the 26/11 attacks.

Ironic how RAW wasn't able to intercept any calls/plans before the Mumbai attacks took place concerning a MASSIVE threat to the country's spotlight city. But NOW, they're intercepting calls regarding some delusion in their head about ISI planning to kill India's most secured, and dangerous terrorist in custody.

Its a misconception that RAW didnt intercept any calls regarding 26/11 attacks.

RAW did have prior infomartion about mumbai attackers using sea routs to attack some civilian installation in mumbai .Its the Coastal guard which falied to nab the suspected boat hijacked by terrorists and the terroists manages to sneak in to mumbai city

After such an ugly fight, how did kasab manage to skip the hotel and captured at a blockage.

How did he manage to escape when elite Indian forces had encircled the hotel. Not even a bird could fly or a dog could cross the Line of elite forces, than how come. he manages to do it so easily. any answers by Indians.

First of all, Kasab never entered the hotels in the first place.He wasnt part of the groups that attacked the hotels.

He and his other partner Ismail were part of group who attacked CST railway station,mumbai where they shot dead more than 50 odd ppl including several police men and injured scores of others.

He was caught in an encounter with mumbai police at a police check point while trying to get away in a stolen car.Kasab was got injured & was arrested ,while is partner got killed in that encounter.

So u see Kasab never faced any elite commando action like at the 5 star hotels, instead was by mumbai police.

Kill the terrorists and rescue all the hostages. I have been to Taj myself, so I can confirm that at any time of the year the hotel is buzzing. Terrorists had booby trapped the bodies, planted timed explosives, and were throwing grenades from the floors above. NSG went in, and succeded in killing all the terrorists, without inducting ANY casualities. And also let me tell you, that post mortem of the bodies has revealed that most of the killings occured before NSG entered. So dont you dare doubt strike rate of India's elite.

no hotel in the world equipped its security to face multiple terrorists loaded with Ak-47s prior to 26/11. The same was evident from Mariott bombing as well. Only difference, during mariott they came in truck. hence didnt get near enough.

Even a third class hotel does have this tradition of checking the people at check in. Now one wonders if in India the hotel management is blind to notice militants checking in with heavy bags full of weapons.

Lolzz during marriots suicide blast they did not enter the hotel and blown theirself by strucking the truck at gate.

In Mumbai attack Indian media reported that they enterd the hotel few days ago with weapons and they stayed there for few days.
