Well this D Lt. Gen. Zaheer is politicians fav & he was picked hand picked by politicians to replace the best Gen. Pasha, so far up till now Lt. Gen. Zaheer haven't done anything like Gen. Pasha. Personally I don't like him, he is not the right person for the ISI.

he is a throuogh professional and has always topped his courses. He even topped his foreign staff course.
and it is because of this that he is where he is and also the fact that he had already served as DG. C in the ISI as a Maj Gen.

He comes from a line of soldiers, where he is the third gen. in the army. even his son is in PMA.

So before start throwing crap at other at least try to find somthing about him as unsubstainsitated claim and accuzations are not on and infact they are a Gunna of the highest order from a Islamic point of view.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Friday issued notices to Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Secretary Defence and Secretary Establishment, Geo News reported Friday.

The notices were issued over an application, seeking contempt of court proceedings over non-compliance of an approval given by a cabinet sub-committee in the light of Lahore High Court ruling for regularization of employees of ISI, Pakistan’s principal spy agency.

The application said the cabinet sub-committee had given approval for the regularization of services of ISI employees in the light of LHC verdict issued on December 31 2012.

However, the decision has not been implemented so far. The court adjourned the hearing for a week.

yes it is seen more like probation period rather than contract, it is not for the benefit of agency but done as a favor to employees. When a person joins the agency he signs the bond for 5 years, if one leaves during this time they have to pay for the training given to them.
Now during this time they are put under emense pressure to check them if they are competent enough. Their social life gets restricted. I have seen some people leaving the organization due to the pressure with in 3 years of their joining. They cannot manage their family and work life.

Has the ISI conducted these ' tests' which are mandatory to regularize these employees ? If so did they pass ?

If not , why are the tests not being conducted ?

On what basis were these men kept beyond the 5 yrs ?

So many more Q's. The courts will tear them apart.

There were / are so many options to ' foreclose' such cases and not let them get out of hand.

ISLAMABAD: Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued notices to Lt-Gen Zaheerul Islam, the director general of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), and other government functionaries on a contempt of court petition filed by four civilian officials of the spy agency.

In their petition, junior analysts Sajjad Ali, Shahid Dilawar, Mohammad Shafiq and Gul Dad contended that they had been working in BPS-18 on contractual basis but despite directions of the court the respondents were not regularising their services.

The court also issued notices to other respondents – Lt-Gen (retired) Asif Yasin Malik, the secretary defence, Taimur Azmat Usman, the secretary establishment, and Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, the chairman of the cabinet sub-committee on regularisation of contractual employees.

Shoaib Shaheen, the counsel for the ISI officials, contended that on December 31, 2012, while deciding petitions filed by contractual staff of a number of departments and ministries the court had ordered the federal government to regularise the services of over 1,000 employees, including the four ISI officials.

He said like other departments, the respondents were given one month for finalisation of the process for regularisation of the petitioners’ services.

“But the respondents have failed to implement the orders of the court and no formal orders have been issued so far by the establishment division,” he added.

He said the act of the authorities was tantamount to contempt of court and the respondents should be proceeded against under the contempt of court law.

The petitioners contended that they joined the spy agency about seven years back after completing all formalities.

Their contractual job was limited to five years and extendable. The court after hearing the arguments adjourned the matter till March 14.

In another case regarding the regularisation of services of two Capital Development Authority officials, the court observed that the cabinet sub-committee was the authority to decide the matter.

A CDA counsel told the court that the officials had fraudulently entered their names in the list provided to the cabinet committee.

He said the CDA had not forwarded their names to the committee because they did not meet the criteria.

He alleged that in connivance with the officials of the cabinet division the two petitioners had managed to add their names in the list.

Justice Khan remarked that the government departments would not be allowed to adopt a pick and choose policy, adding it was the prerogative of the committee to decide the fate of the contractual employees.

The court on Thursday also disposed of over 90 petitions filed by about 500 contractual employees after the cabinet and establishment divisions authorities said the services of the petitioners had been regularised.

What if i told you that i know him personally?

What if i told you that he hates politicians and is Kayani's arm to keep army out of civilian structures?

For civilians to serve in the ISI the roles are limited anyway. It's the same for any military organization in Pakistan's armed forces. I mean, how many short service commission people make out to be corps commander?

Also, the job of DG ISI is to provide leadership to the organization. Do you even know the workload he is under? You think he has the time to deal with menial things like employees, when bigger things are at stake?

Nah. Ain't nobody got time for that!!

I think these four, if successfully regularized, will be assigned to check the behinds of all the flies in the middle of nowhere for proper cleanliness and report daily.
