Oh but ialways do when alone. Not before others. And i feel embarrased if i am spotted doing that.i talk to my self and have been since i can remember, sometimes when I am really in the gutters I just talk thinking that if no one then God is listening and that gives me peace beyond something I can explain, I normally talk in lonliness before I sleep and it really pisses my rommate off because he thinks I am talking on the phone....
yeah me too talking to yourself in front of others would look crazy by any defination of the word...But then wait op dont go after my words as in dont ignore ur issue if u feel its really an issue.
Just avoid talking loudly.
Or if when u start selftalking ,then start shaking ur head with that too ,like this. Will get ur head and neck so achy.
Na chor dee in few days this habits of urs, then ummm change ur own nick.

Whenever I have any thoughts or observations or plans for the day, I always speak it out to myself( & myself alone) & talk about what my schedule for the rest of my day or how I can improve my plans.
I do the same thing whenever I have any thoughts/observations on defence/politics/current affairs/foreign policy etc..
For eg:- I am browsing news on the net & I see a link about Politics & after reading I say:- "Good, they will easily lose in Bihar without this alliance"
Is this(talking to oneself) a sign of me going mad or losing mental/emotional control??
EDIT:-
My relatives want my parents to take me to a mental hospital as they believe I am going mad.
REASON:- I am talking to myself too much..+ my pathetic academic situation
tell her to get her act together, if she gets a reputation for this habit then her name is going to stick to her in the long run, being labelled a lunatic in Pakistan is like being condemned to lunacy for life, a reputation like that stick to a person permanently especially in Pakistan, I dont doubt her intellect as I am sure she is very smart like you said but unfortunately how a person is known is more important than how he or she actually is....But i had a frnd who had this issue or what on a serious level, not that she was ever worried or bothered abt it as in solving it, but she wud be anywhere outside and wud be talking to herself, then some ppl started calling her mad ,looney for that reason, then she asked me abt it ,i was like i dunno. But she is mentally healthy but just lil too much into the habit. A very intelligent person she is.

i know talking to oneself helps the thinking process. by saying our thoughts out loud we made our thoughts more vivid and which helps us think better. but remember no thought is worth saying out loud to ourself or to others.Whenever I have any thoughts or observations or plans for the day, I always speak it out to myself( & myself alone) & talk about what my schedule for the rest of my day or how I can improve my plans.
