Is religion a source of unity or division?

Religion is a source of unity but extremists want to see religion a source of division.

Islam, Christianity and Judaism are cousin religions to each other. Same God but main leader is different to each group. Muhammad (pbuh) for Muslims. Jesus (pbuh) for Christians and Moses (pbuh) for Jews.

Hinduism definitely has a connection with these 3 Abrahamic religions. Abraham is considered father of each faith. Brahma is considered main avatar of God in Hinduism. Abraham's first wife's name was Sara and Brahma's first wife's name is Saras.

Ka'aba is the most sacred site for Muslims. Shiv black stone is called Kabbateshwar in Tamil. Ka'aba's black stone is scared for Muslims. Shiv's black stone is sacred for Hindus.

There is a connection between Muslims, Christians, Jews and Hindus. Thats why I say Hindus are Ahle Kitab and they fall under Sabian (Indian may be) group mentioned in Quran.

If it is not real then it would not have any properties.

As you said, at the end of the day to realize truth we need to expand our senses .......... how do we do that ?

So you accept tat light and its properties are real, consequently the problem lays on us due to the lack of capablities in our senses ... bugs in our sense organs have no effects on light and its properties it only effects our perceptions therefore light is a constant thing thus we need to expand our senses or even deploy another mean or method to fathom it ..
Rumi said by the end of story "If each had a candle and they went in together the differences would disappear." if one of them thought that the elephant is something else like a trunk it was his fault he needed to search more ask others light a candle , even doubt about his assumption.

...No. It may very well be not real and may not have any properties ..... we only perceive them, does not mean they are real.

How could we perceive sth which is not real? do you follow Agnosticism? then what are they? are we real?

To put it simply your 5 senses which you rely on to make a judgement on what is real or not real is not "reliable". Hence all it provides you is an illusion of reality, which is also called Maya (illusion) in sanskrit.

To penetrate the veil of maya we first understand that the illusion is the creation of our Mind (with the help of our senses). Once that is realized then we can attempt to seek the truth by excluding our 5 senses or by expanding our senses. One of the ways of doing that is Yoga.

We think and investigate which must mean we are real is some sense of the word. But what is our absolute reality will then become a matter of investigation.

I am not Agnostic.

religion only essential for moral codes if people forget relegion people will not have any boundries like gay marriage etc
Religion is like a strict teacher who dont like freedom too much

It happens when you consider our senses the only way to perceive which as I said it's not reliable, but they are not the only ways to do so, but what about reasoning? mysticism? intuition?divine messages?

You have hit upon the various methods that are mentioned to understand the absolute truth.

Reasoning is the foundation of the Samkhya philosophy to understanding 'truth'.

Realization thought Mysticism is the principle of the Yoga as explained in the Yoga Sutra.

Mimamsa philosophy deals with realizing 'truth' via Intuition

Vedanta philosophy speaks of understanding the truth via divine message.

Various path all helping the individual realize the truth, all leading to the same goal.

And WHERE these methods (Yoga, Mimamsa, Vadanta) of yours would take us? is it about Sadhus (we call them Mortaz) and what they're doing in their daily life ....
I mean by all these things and methods you said what changes would happen to us , what power would we get? the end of story ?

I thought that it was well explained, these are all methods to discover the truth.

LOL....you do not have to be a Sadhu to want to understand what is real and what is not and pursue the truth. You would be one step closer to the truth. That is what we are discussing, ins't it ?

You can very well take part in the world around you and still pursue your search for the truth. It will be a slower journey, but a journey never the less. Millions do it every day.

So the truth is our aim, but how could it possible while we don't have an unique truth? how could all these different methods lead us to truth? unless truth be one unique matte.

What is unique ? an unique elephant is made up of billions of atoms, a single ray of light is made up of billions of photons ........ if you want to call a collection of entities as unique then unique it is.
