“I am a RSS swayamsevak, the Prime Minister is a RSS swayamsevak and no one should have any problem in it”.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday rejected the opposition charges that the RSS was running the government and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he are swayamsevaks of the Sangh and no one should have any problem with it.

“I want to clarify everyone that I am a RSS swayamsevak (volunteer), the Prime Minister is a RSS swayamsevak and no one should have any problem in it,” he said on the sidelines of a function in Pune.

Mr. Singh also dismissed the suggestion that the RSS is running the Modi government.

“There is no truth in it. It is completely baseless,” he said.

The Home Minister also rejected the charges that by attending a meeting with the RSS leadership, the Union Ministers have broken the oath of secrecy taken while assuming the charge.

“We have not broken any oath of secrecy. By attending a meeting — be it public or an indoor (one), no oath of secrecy is broken,” he said.

During the three-day “coordination” meeting of the RSS and the BJP, the top brass of the government and the BJP, including senior Ministers, came face-to-face with the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and top Sangh leaders.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in the dialogue on the last day of the “coordination” meeting on Friday.

The Congress had criticised the Ministers for attending the meeting alleging that the RSS was acting like a remote control and running the Modi government.

No he represents only the voters who voted for him. That is a caveat in democracy.

His Government is uplifting all sections of the nation.

Dude, they are called PM or President of a country, not a political or x% of the electorate of a country. This is just common sense.

Nehru was first PM of India, not 44% of those Indians who voted. Last time, nearly 47% of those who voted in the US did not vote for Obuma, so is he only the President of half of America?

Modi's government collects taxes for all eligible to pay taxes and his bureaucracy, army etc. has to provide services to all Indians - even those who can't or didn't vote.

Government has an action plan which is for the development as well as security of the nation.

I just gave you the reality check. Whether you start calling him the representative of the whole universe. It does not change a dime and this is the fallacy we happily buy but the reality is that a very large portion of the population really does not feel that he or she is representing them. I have experienced through my personal experience from east to west.

That's true worldwide - ask Republicans how Obama represents them or Democrats how Bush represented them. Nothing unique about Modi in this context, thus, no need to single him out.
