What's new

Is J16 answer to s400 threat ,PAF choice ?

no, PLAF and PLAN is in dire need of heavy weight figher, the annual supply is way too short to meet their demand, J-20's production is in even more serious condition`````so this puts more pressure on requiring more 3.5 heavy fighter jets (SU-35, J-16, J-15)``

the so-called "intellectual property" issue was solved long time agon when PLAAF decided to make J-11As`````and the Flanker contract regarding IP issue was a pakage of radar, weapon, electronic wares, calculated structual datas and design`````advanced weapon system's IP is more to do with whats inside, rather than graphic or logo design```this is something outsiders dont know much about it, apart from media hypes and propaganda``

not to mention J-16, even J-11B's insides were nothing like any Russian Flanker

so you are saying that china can export a variant of J-16 to any customer across the globe without any Russian interference today. is that a correct statement to understand.

No all respected senior member here know that J-16 is based on Su-30 MK/MK2, and can't be exported because design is Russian property, @rcrmj is always lives in delusional mode @syed_yusuf

What @rcrmj stated repeatedly in various posts is logical and based on ground facts .but all ur responses depicts whether you are extremely egocentric or naive of defence related knowlwdge or you are trolling him intensionally .

Yes absolutely correct but not anyone around the globe but for allies like Pakistan . Answer is Big YES . But main issue is capacity and their own requirement comes first .

All senior members her are saying including Chinese senior members like @Oscar @Horus @cirr @Beast @Bilal Khan (Quwa) @Bilal Khan 777 etc etc that J-11 can't be exported without the permission of Russian because external design is Russian, Go live your fantasy world/ wishful thinking/ fairy tales of yours @Hayreddin :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

They are not clone you Shithead, and give me a proof That 054A, is based on Russian clone, If you calling JF-17, yes it was but it was rejected by their air force, purchased by china modified according to PAF needs so its not consider a clone, WZ-10 is not related to any Russian project infact early in the WZ-10 project Augusta westland did help the rotor Transmission on WZ-10 project, hense it also not consider as a clone, bbut J-11 series of jets consider a clone or copy cat and when you purchased Su-27 in mid 90s theree was clause that you will not export SU-27 and variants (J-11) to another countries, you don't know what is you talking about @rcrmj

You're in delusion/ denial mode not me that you can't export J-11 series of jets without Russian permission, its fact and that all @rcrmj :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

you are really have no clue of whatsoever regarding military techs, as you previously claimed that Chinese Flankers cannot be exported because of the air-frame design (which is the least concern)``but suddenly 054A's three types of its radars were based on previous Russian radars were "ok" to be exported? you know radars to a ship is far far far more important to the looks of an aircraft`````````you really need basic logic and ground knowledge to talk anything````

at end of the day, only clueless Media would tell you Chinese Flankers are clones

and the funny clause you have mentioned regarding China and Russia's deal on Flanker```` even I do not have the privilege to read the clause and you?

no they are not, J-16 has nothing to do with Su-30's`````you are getting even more rediculous```

No all respected senior member here know that J-16 is based on Su-30 MK/MK2, and can't be exported because design is Russian property, @rcrmj is always lives in delusional mode @syed_yusuf
clueless and ignorant people said exactly the same thing to me when I said my "opinions" regarding J-20 and 5th gen stealth fighters years ago, and also many other things`````

in theory yes, but in reality no, as I stated in my previous posts earlier that PLAAF is really in dire need of advanced heavy fighters, and the production rate is not even close to half of PLAAF's needs````and the so-called IP issue is none existance, that was created by clueless fans and media...the IP "issues" was long sorted when China decided to home build Flankers```according to his "believe" China wouldnt even to be allowed to start to build J-11As in the first place, as we started to use many home made parts to replace Russian parts``

anyway

here are few realities that troubles the PLAAF and PLAN:
for recent years with the rapid development of China's aviation might, fans begine to believe that China now is becoming the formidable air force in the world so can deter U.S's might in East Asia`````however, those 600 J-11,J-11A, J-11B and Su-30 are not up to the task, they are merely a "catch-up" works for PLAAF and PLAN, and they cannt stand a chance in 5th gen infomation centric air battle especially against the U.S.

they need J-20, J-XX, J-15D, J-16 and J-16D! loads and loads of them, but the whole supply chain just cant do the job, just cant`````for many people they dont know, that, to build a plane, there are hunderds of various suppliers involved, the various suppliers also have to meet up with the standerds required by J-20, J-XX, J-16D and J-16, its a chain effects, any point in the middle breaks, be it trivial or important, no matter how many assembling lines have been built, the whole production will put to a pause until it is being solved.

on post 87, I worte a "fictional" dialog, that the PLAAF cheif cannt wait those factories, so they have to keep buying Russian engines and also it is the reason to buy Su-35, there is high chance that PLAAF will buy more su-35 rather than the 24 units they have signed`````

SAC has been working on J-11D for many years, but the result wasnt very exciting as there was not much improvments compared to later version of J-11Bs, so the top decided to use newly developed AESA radars and avionics to upgrade the current j-11Bs and its new productions, at the meantime to buy more characteristic Su-35s to boost the number of capable 4.5gen fighters to deal with imminent threats from the East.

CAC is busy building J-20, J-10C and developing J-10D, and the burden on SAC is rather heavy, J-11B, J-15, J-15D, J-16, J-16D and 5th gen stealth fighter for the navy````````on top of that, the demand for WS-13G, WS-19, WS-10IPE and WS-15 is also very high!`````so we dont think PLAAF and PLAN is quite happy with the current situation, just too much works to be done in few years time

and to the topic of the thread, a plane cannot deal with S400,because it is an air-defense system, Pakistan need a competent system and strategy to deal with it, not a plane

So, if we're to go by your claims, the J-11D has been cancelled while the J-10D is still active?

What makes you think that when we have barely any information on those two projects?

well, this bold part says it all`````you need a proper channel and getting into the circle, otherwise for those whom relies on media or "big Shrimps" wont have any idea`````

in theory both J-11D and J-10D are all active, the current upgrade pakage solutions for J-11B are from the J-11D project```if, I said IF, the supplis of J-20 and Su-35 both start to having problems and wont be solved in 5 years time, then maybe J-11D will be the last option```\

not much info on J-10D, but they said it is more like a brand-new fighter, but, if, I said IF again, J-20 and J-XX stealth fighter' production went exceptionally well, then there wont be any future apparence for J-10D `````

keep blabbering, you knows nothing what you taking about, just blabbering senselessly,if there is no conditions on J-11 series of jets why you don't putting it your export list you shithead @rcrmj :crazy::crazy:
As you says is based on but not clone/ or copy cat, do you know the what is difference between copy cat and based upon @rcrmj :crazy::crazy:
so If your theory right than why Japan can't sell F-15 to other countries, and Nato members countries F-16 can't sell to other countries, so your this false theories that J-11 SERIES OF JETS CAN BE EXPORTED TO OTHER COUNTRIES is ridiculous and absurd @rcrmj :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:
you admit it or not its a clone of your Su-30MKK/MKK2 @rcrmj
clueless and ignorant people said exactly the same thing to me when I said my "opinions" regarding J-20 and 5th gen stealth fighters years ago, and also many other things`````
you're clueless and ignorant not us, go lives in your wet dreams/ wishful thinking/fairy tales/fantasy worlds, be real kid @rcrmj :crazy::crazy:

Skipped 5 pages. Same argument over and over.

Simple jf 17b EW version can be made. 3 ew pods on pylons and internal jammers.
Delete gun.

Definitely

But the problem is that China can't export them.

The best solution is to develop a Growler like variant of JF-17B.

you need very sophisticated technical base to build something like that

You want to overcome Indian S400.and rafale combination

They spent 24

S400 cost India five billion dollars and was designed to take on fifth generation fighters .
You want to overcome this system with a budget jf17 or chinease fourth generation fighter ......

Good luck

There is no cheap solution

Beat S400 you need rafale or typhoon or f35 or maybe Chinease J31,

Or your pissing in the wind
