I see Indians repeating this 1000 cuts thing like a broken record on these forums and saying that some crooked person in Pakistan said that in 80s.
So just for the argument sake, lets ASSUME this is true. How exactly is supporting, financing, arming terrorists like LTTE, Mukti Bahini terrorists is Indian response to that 1000 cuts theory?
Since you have been repeating India's support for LTTE like a broken record in all your posts, let me set the record straight here!
It was Sri Lanka which started hostilities against India by trying to harm Indian interests right from their independence - just to prove a point!
Right from Cold war era, when SL allowed US the SIGINT facilities to listen against India at her Radio Ceylon stations to Sri Lanka's active support to Pakistan during 1971 war by allowing Pakistani Navy berthing facilities and PAF the refueling facilities when they could have easily chosen to stay NEUTRAL! If that is not a DIRECT hostility against India, then what is?

1971 India Pakistan War: Role of Russia, China, America and Britain
In short, Sri Lankans were asking for trouble and Indira Gandhi (the lady, who had bigger balls than all of Indian politicians at the time, combined!) was only too happy return their 1971 war favors!
Remember, there were several other smaller countries (like Nepal, Bhutan and even Myanmar) which were much more closer to the actual conflict zone in East Pakistan but chose to play it wise by staying neutral!
Everybody talks about Indian support to LTTE, but selectively forgets what role Sri Lanka played against India in her earlier conflicts with Pakistan (during 1971 war, which actually predates the ghastly LTTE violence) and with the US (during cold war days).

So, first learn the history before you start making blanket statements saying India needlessly needled in Sri Lanka.
