hell even Saudis managed a better deal for typhoons at smaller price tag

So let me get this right, India rejected 126 F-16s or 126 F-18s or 126 Mig-35s or 126 JAS 39 Gripens for $8.2 billion and when for 36 Rafales instead. But now, India also wants 90 F-16s or 90 F-18s or 90 Mig-35s or 90 JAS 39 Gripens for another $10 billion? Very clever.

Before it was a competition among single and double engine hence its obvious To Rafale and EF was selected. But now it's single engine. For lots of TOT. Who ever can afford TOT can take this as F35 F16 gripin are the only option avail. F35 won't be an option as of now due to TOT. But F16 can be. As SAAB will be supplying lots of equipment for LCA. Even if Gripin selected US will supply lots of equipment too. It's a close call. So we can expect tremendous TOT

F35 would be a option because TOT .

We have already got TOT in rafale deal . for speactra radar etc invastment in kavery engine also and we also getting TOT with FGFA deal . So Sab gripen or f16 have nothing extra to give us . but if we get one or two additional tech we can get only by f35 which we can use in amca also . so as Par any usefull TOT only F35 can help .

The Make in India would be a meter

If LM provide India sub system production or service facility or some thin other share in f35 production this would be a good deal for both India and LM.
