Gorkhas live in the northern west-bengal state and southern sikkim region and have been demanding separate state (within the republic) for some time now.The west bengal simply won't let them have it.

Gorkhas as demanding for separate Gorkhaland state and not separate country .

BTW most of the indian Gorkhas are hindus and they are sitting on high ranges on the LOC with pakistan with khurkis as they always do .
