Total population of Europe: 746 million
Total population of North America: 789 million
Total population of South America: 422 million
Total population of Oceania: 44 million
Total population of Africa: 1.21 billion

India's population: 1.39 F*ckin billion

India's population is larger than each of 5 continents, and also larger than 3 continents combined (the Americas and Oceania)!

Isn't it unfair comparing India's GDP to that of normal, real countries? A realistic comparison would be that between India and one of the continents mentioned above, or China. India is only ahead of Oceania (tiny population) w.r.t. nominal GDP. That's nothing to brag about.

Why single out India, why not compare Asia to other continents. Population wise Asia comes first. GDP maybe second. All Asian countries are highly populated and growing.

It's called the sub-continent, S. Asia should be a continent.

Yup a big issue. No amount of measures can take care of the hungry mouths.

I guess this part Aisa has this problem of high population density.

Look at Bangladesh. In numbers it is less, but density wise it is almost three times of India. Bangladesh has done well to contain the rise though.
Paksiatn also has high population but density is lower than that of India and Bangladesh. But they haven’t yet controlled the rise and would keep increasing much faster.
All countries have own issues to grapple.

The population of North America in 2022 was 376,870,696, a 0.42% increase from 2021.

a continent is a geological feature why are you trying to use population to determine it?

is a toyota tacoma a city bus if you manage to squeeze 30 people in it?

and GDP is measured and compared to independent economies which a place like africa is not.

Geographically, it is generally referred to as the South Asian subcontinent

India is a continent not a country and it is more diverse then both Europe and Africa..

The country is split between 40 groups of people meaning actully nations inside a continent. They all speak different languages these 40 group and have large numbers each to form it's own country and some of them are not even same race..

However China is not continent all tho China has minority they are very few in comparison with one large group which is obviously the han chinese..

Where as India is like Europe and Africa it is a continent it doesn't have one huge group like the Han that takes over 90% of population but instead you have equalling elements and ethnic groups who are same size or little bigger then each other

again, diversity, population or whatever is not what determines if a land mass is a continent. a continent is a geological feature, what part of that dont you understand?

as for GDP and such, the comparison is generally made between economies, and economies just are generally its own countries which makes logical sense, but its not always so which is why places like HK is counted separately from china for GDP and such because it is a unique economy from china in practice. and also why sometimes EU is counted as one, because of the integration there.

I believe if there are many smaller countries in the sub-continent, the total GDP of all countries would be bigger than India. This is typical 1+1<2

Let’s just say that it seems South Asia has lots of marriages and lots of sex, nicer weather and very horny people.
So its obvious why its very highly populated. Everyone’s getting some action

Europeans and Americans, too busy being lgbt and mental issues and alcohol/drugs.

The weather in Pakistan just makes us so horny. Hahaha

India's population is atleast 1.6bn.

The country only started documenting its population in the recent past with colonial intentions and even methods.
