Is Bangladesh going for JF-17?

JF-17, F-16 & J-10 are same generation aircraft, every aircraft out of these have their own edge over other.
JF-17 most affordable package with good choice of weapons
F-16 is proven war bird
J-10 is more maneuverable
rest of all capabilities almost same
Thats why Pakistan not going to purchase J-10 because we already have JF-17 & F-16
Any other nation if choice available for above mentioned air crafts will like to purchase F-16 or JF-17

I don't know by whom are how this old four year old thread got revived. Yet we persist.

Here are some very basic air-force observations I have about Bangladesh considering the small size of our country.

1. Bangladesh has to (and does) consider air-superiority and ground attack threat scenarios but being paranoid and 'armed to the teeth' while actual scenarios don't exist is foolish and expensive.

2. The area of Bangladesh at Mach 1 can be crossed diagonally in under one hour, at Mach 2 - in under a half-hour. Bangladesh does not even need BVR missiles or BVR capable aircraft in my opinion. It needs missile countermeasures and very, very good radars as well as long and short range air-defence systems.

3. We need to integrate inter-services data interchange and threat hand-off coordination. Like at what point in time a naval launched threat becomes a SHORAD or Long-Range Army Missile Defence responsibility.

4. The counter-measures have to originate from the multiple threat scenarios. Case in point - Bangladesh has really stepped up manufacture of MANPADs and Bullet Proof vests. Why? Because you can bring down a $30 million dollar airplane with a $10,000 MANPAD. That's why. There are all sorts of economical countermeasures available that can match the scenario.

ADMIN PLS CLOSE THIS THREAD WE WILL NOT BUY JF17
and it s all trolling and off topic here

There probably was a time when BD might have been interested but that is no more.

It comes down to money. BD can not afford to Support and maintain multiple types of fighter. It will leverage on its existing experience of migs and will buy more of these in numbers hopefully. It will buy one or two squads of twin engine fighters in due course. Bad airforce will be Russian for the foreseeable future as far as front line fighters are concerned. Small possibility it will go fully Chinese but unlikely as the Chinese are still sorting their indiginious engine which won't be ready for BD immediate needs
