I think a majority of Pakistanis will disagree with you. Its all about how you interpret Islam. Plus it is the beginning of a new era of "Modern" Islam that many Muslims are getting comfortable with gradually.

Exactly, Plus, who would fall so low in their intelligence as to believe the future can be predicted? and that too by Hydrogen-Helium burning Uncontrollable Fusion powered natural cosmological Phenomena? That is pretty hilarious when you think of it!!

Name is Islamic Republic of Pakistan, laws are not fully Islamic, some laws are Islamic, rest are the same old British Raj acts & laws.

A country is & should be called Islamic when it is governed by Islamic laws. We are somewhere in between.

So now, miles, my friend, you've grown into an expert in Islamic Jurisprudence . As I say, let Physics to the Physicists and let Islam to the Muslims and Islamic Laws and Jurisprudence to the Genuine Ulema!

PS: I dont like lecturing non-researched articles and poorly constructed logic base about Islam of the Quran and the Sahih Ahadith. This thread is in a long line of similar threads by Non-Muslims or poorly researched script kiddies just to arise a debate on whether Pakistan is Islamic or not or what interpretation should be used. .

This amounts to a poor taste in Trolling, which I do not like, nor the Mods. AVOID IT. You could have just researched a bit before posting this ill conceived thread. And for future reference:

1) Pakistan is an Islamic Democratic State. That is why they call it the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, where all non-Muslims have euqal rights as Muslims.

2) The Laws are not completely Islamic but are in the process.

3) All non-muslims, please avoid giving us your "suggestions" about Islam.

4) People, grow up! this is basically a defence forum, why are you tempted to arouse a religious debate. Because, you are only digging a hole for yourselves.

First, I started the thread with a "question" not a "judgment". Second the question was based on one of the Pakistani TV show where the guest speaker was an astrologer and was giving out predictions about Pakistan and its leaders.

Third, my comment about "Modern" Islam in Pakistan is based on the current happenings in Pakistan relative to other conservative Muslim societies, the show I referred earlier being a case in point and there are many more.

You have contradicted yourself. You say non-muslims have the same rights, but are telling him to shut up because he is not a muslim? hypocrisy at it's finest, but what can i say, you are an islamist after all....
