Is anyone on this forum diagnosed with ADHD?

If so can you please describe what it feels like to be diagnosed/suffering from ithe symptoms of such disorders?

Because I think I have ADHD or atleast symptoms similar to ADHD.

90% of the kids here are....

You can read it up on the net! Its a disorder with a spectrum....In studies published it shows MANY people have it at different levels....

Yes, i was diagnosed with ADHD while in college.

You cannot self diagnose it, i went through most of my youth without any major issues. You will need to go to a proper psychiatrist for a full recognized testing. Only then can they confirm what you have.

Yes it did affect my studies in College, that is where i found out. In USA the typical knee jerk reaction is to prescribe stimulants like Ritalin/Adderrall. Mostly through my youth, it was difficult but i didn't know exactly what it was. I was a top student throughout, from grade 1 to high school. In UK, they don't prescribe drugs so easily. More like psychotherapy is advised. But in any case, it is your life and you have to make something out of it. I know it is considered a Taboo in south asia, but shouldn't be and i really don't give two fcuks about what people think.

That's not how it works. ADHD is when you have tremendous amount of Adrenalin to do something physical rather than menial mental work. Hence not surprisingly, i was a very good sprinter in high school and Captain of my School swimming team. Swam competitively at Sindh level for 8 years. I never seemed to run out of energy. People even tell me today, that i walk too fast, i should slow down.

A friend of mine has ocd... he doesnt take meds... says he can control it.. is it like cureable? or do you have to take meds your whole life or something?

Tell me about the taboo thing.Many people around me say that i do "Wahaim" on purpose

I know what it is ...my nephew has it...he does seem all over the
place
