There was no modern-day Syria or Iraq when the great Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphates and empires were around.

Both the Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphate were Arab Caliphates and empires founded and ruled by Hijazi dynasties from modern-day KSA (Hijaz), Ultroll. Get it straight.

Anyway it is a great thing that the Syrian Arab Army and the Iraqi Army is dealing with the Daesh trojan horse with crucial help from local Iraqi and Syrian Sunni Arabs.

I agree with both these brother. The Caliphate is a blessed concept, one which is found in the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

We cannot let scum like ISIS claim ownership over it, nor should we belittle the concept like Christians have done to thier faith. I don't think any of it is deliberately intended as such but we must respect our institutions.
