I think they are looking forward to make a missile that can be launched form earth and be used to target a possible human colony on Mars in future and the time elapsed from launch to hit on target to be somewhere around 20 minutes.

The BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missile. Speed is subsonic; about 550 mph (880 km/h)

It has a solid-fuel rocket booster only for the initial thrust after which it is taken over by a Williams F107-WR-402 turbofan engine using TH-dimer fuel.

Guys check the speed of this missile! The missile is used for the Iranian space agency currently, but there is a rumour that the technology will also be used for air-targets and anti satellites in the future. What do members think? Do any of the Iranians have any more info?

This video must have been fast forwarded to show this increased speed, the editor failed to notice/edit that increased shake, unless the cameraman was wanking with one hand and shooting the video with the other, i don't have any plausible explanation of this shake in the video.

On the contrary I found the liftoff speed comparable to other sounding rockets, which have a greater twr than bigger rockets such as those used in our ballistic missiles. You could refer to the Pakisatni 4-tube launched quasi-BM's liftoff speed.


The jitter in the video would come from the cameraman trying to follow a rapidly moving object, and their lack of training for this.

Liftoff speed generally tends to be slower, and the missile/rocket tends to accelerate after gaining some altitude. That's my general observation. While here in this case, the liftoff was abrupt, more like hobbyist amateur rocketeers, having solid fueled rocket of very limited range.

And the shake while trying to keep the rocket in focus, to say at least, is abnormal.

First people said that all missiles are supposed to be fast.Now you are claiming the movie is being fast forwarded.I can not see any sign of a fast forward and shakes are natural to me.
