Great, just like Iran. We have Christians (Armenians and Assyrians) and even Jews in our country for more than 2500 years. But sadly the Islamic regime also prosecutes other minorities like the Bahai. However the current regime doesn't represent the Iranian people.

There are many Bahai's in India as well . This is the most prominent Bahai temple in India in New Delhi , my city

Parsis in Mumbai

Me too. Maybe they could get closer to the Zoroastrian community in Iran.

If Iran was a predominantly a Zoroastrian country many of them would move there i'm sure(at least the religious ones). Like Indian Jews who have 1000s of years of history in India moved back to Israel when it was formed.

Oh yes, Mumbai will not be the same city without them.

& you'l only find Parsis in up market areas of South Mumbai, like Colaba, Fort & Nariman point kinda areas. Perhaps the most progressive community of all in India.

There are Parsi colonies in Mahim and Dadar too, where I grew up

I think Iranians are culturally quite close to Indians and thats why the Parsi's didn't face much problems to live together with the Indians. We have almost the same temper and are quite spirituality.

Agreed. But Jews lived in India for a millennium too, even some Armenians came to India. The fact that these tiny minorities not only survived but thrived is a matter of pride for all Indians as we want to see our society become more and more tolerant and humane. India is for Indians, no matter who you are. While our challenges are enormous, these things about our past give us hope.

& these areas are upmarket too, compared to the ones after Andheri!!

Actually when I grew up there they were just middle class. Ya but with property prices going crazy people like you have developed these misconceptions :P

Yes but Parsis are easily the richest community in India.
