very crude concept. why would you need a VTOL drone to fire mortar??
however i'm a big fan of VTOL drones.

i don't know but it looks like a mortar to me maybe a grenade launcher but still it looks like a crude concept. i only give it the benefit of doubt because mashreg published it otherwise it has two missiles like fakour(?) beneath it and obviously the vertical fans are not align in a line with models center of gravity and so on which all of them does not make sense.

Could be a laser based weapon or some type of smart projectile based weapon.

For example, imagine a fleet of drones taking off from literally anywhere, landing 5-15 KM away from the enemy, then each unleashing a barrage of 3-6 projectiles towards the enemy target then taking off and flying away.

Basically high tech hit and run asymmetric warfare using the concept of VTOL hard to detect drones. By the time the enemy scrambles a counter response the drones are long gone.

Honestly launching these drones from the top of a vehicle with a cheap & simple rack system instead of a rail launching system is pretty ingenious I have to admit.

Even if the enemy ends up bombing your airfields, you can still launch hundreds of these drones & hit the enemy with pinpoint precision, especially if they fly low & if they spent much of their time in the air lightly gliding to their destination, they're pretty stealthy.

Question to UCAV experts... Is there any armed drone currently in Yemen Houthie inventory that can be lunched and controlled lets say from a small boat in the red sea or Persian gulf against Saudi/UAE targets. That would be a nice short cut to get even with these Quasi countries.

It's the very first model, they all can carry four bombs, but in this mission they were armed with 2 bombs.

This was the old version, then there was two newer versions with internal weapons bay, one without door, and one with door.

From what I understand:
Jet powered main engine for horizontal flight, two retractable (carrier type) rotors plus one frontal missile propellant for vertical take off!
