watch the Hellfire affect on the building's roof = Nothing
interesting video ,but don't forget there are different type of Hellfire for different type of mission
AGM-114K Hellfire II : Target: All armored threats
AGM-114L Longbow Hellfire: Target: All armored threats
AGM-114M Hellfire II: Target: Bunkers, light vehicles, urban (soft) targets and caves
AGM-114N Hellfire II: Target: Enclosures, ships, urban targets, air defense units
AGM-114P Hellfire II: Target: optimized for use from UCAVs flying at high altitude.
ATM-114Q Hellfire II: Practice version of AGM-114N with inert warhead.
AGM-114R Hellfire II (Hellfire Romeo): Target: All Target Types
AGM-114S Hellfire II: Practice version of AGM-114K with a spotting charge instead of a warhead.

and here we are not talking about Sadid is better or Qaem , both of them have their uses you could use Sadid against UAV and Helicopters but can you use Qaem for that purpose ? you can use Sadid against Fast moving trucks and boats but Qaem is far from optimal for such missions. on other hand if you want to destroy a building then there is no doubt Qaem is better.

here we say why after 5 years we still won't produce enough Sadid for our UAVs in Syria ?

So you are talking about a uav flying above 10km height and from that distance you can see a licence plate of a car? Good achievement Iran... But that video is not 40000ft.
We have captured a version of it which was equipped in MQ-1.

It's already under study, will take some years to develop something similar

Our goal is not copying it like Chinese friends, we want to develop a better version, cheaper version and more capable compared to the captured one.

wow, Mohajer-6 operates naval attacks. Man i love this bird, it can shoot helicopters down too. Different capabilities, if we compare it with Shahed-129

@Hack-Hook what do yo think? Could it shoot at fighter jets?

Cruise Missile fly at over 800kph! So yes even a Helo can get lucky engage on a fighter jet and get a hit with the right weapon! But at the end of the day these UAV's have a max speed lower than most attack helo's so they are NOT built for that! & Mohajr-6 most definitely has a greater RCS than the Shahed-129

At the end of the day the UAV is a poorly designed UAV compared to the Shahed-129 and others

Yes no doubt this is a cheaper UAV to produce than the Shahed-129 & Fotros, no doubt it's easier & cheaper to maintain and not doubt it's easier to fly & land than the Shahed-129 and will likely have far less accidents due to pilot error than the Shahed-129

All that doesn't change the fact that at the end of the day this is a lazy design by Qods Aviation they took the Mohajr-4 design and made it bigger the best they could with no attempts to come up with a design with improved drag, weight reduction, RCS....

I don't think the Iranian government should be handing out contracts to Qods Aviation until they can come up with a design that's an improvement on current Iranian designs
The title of being one of the oldest UAV companies in Iran shouldn't be enough to land you government contracts. If they can't build something worth buying then clearly they have a problem in management & government should either force them to close up shop or enforce a management change

You really don't have to be an aeronautical engineer to see that this is a lazy design from Qods Aviation a few hours worth of research would have told you that so the government has no excuse this is pure party bazi

@VEVAK

I had confused Mohajer with Fotros, i shouldve posted this one :

Mohajer in comparison with Chinese drone. Mohajer is smaller, cheaper and has lower RCS

Apology for that confusion, happens when you are having fun with Arabe friends

@VEVAK
Sir, more of that design.

Israeli Heron UAV :

Indian UAV :

There is an unknown benefit in this design, which makes Canada and Australia intrested in Heron and also India has made 3bn $ investment for blue print and mass production of that drone

there is no problem with the design when he talked about improved drag, weight reduction, RCS....
the wheels that can't be retracted made havoc with RCS and Drag
about weight reduction well I don't knew what they could do as I don't knew what component they used building it and by the way the tail of Mohajir-6 is different from the tail of those drones so they are not exact same design and @VEVAK i can't accept its just several hours of research after all guess this is Mohajer-4

The larger one that's basically like the Fotros & the Israeli model has retractable landing gears like the Fotros and I also wouldn't consider none of them a good design in terms of weight reduction, drag & RCS.

As for the smaller ones like the RQ-7 well those are smaller UAV's with good stability but I wouldn't really say they are a good design!

1st and foremost when you have UAV's like the Shahed-129, Fotros, Saegheh, Simorgh, Hamaseh,... the Cost vs Benefits of this UAV makes NO SENSE!

The cost Benefit that the Iranian government does is truly baffling! Look:
The cost of the ground equipment you need for the Mohajer-6 & Shahed-129 are pretty much the same!
The cost of fuel compared to each other is pretty much irrelevant (At an absolute max $10 difference per flight for same distance sortie)
The bunkers and hangers you need on the ground is again pretty much the same
The runways you need for takeoff and landing is again pretty much the same the Sh-129 can takeoff and land on the smallest aircraft runways Iran has
The optics onboard both can vary depending on what you choose to put on them

So at the end of the day it simply comes down to the cost of Air Frame and Engine and these aren't fighter jet built with Titanium airframes & super alloyed engines for the cost to make that much of a difference!

2ndly If you truly understand how Iranian companies do business you would know that unless the government enforces high expectations of the companies selling it products then those companies will NOT change the way they do business & improve their products to the best of their capabilities and it doesn't matter if those companies are Publicly owned, Government Owned or Privately owned!

A good leadership knows this and would FORCE and expect improvements and enforce high expectations!

And when a company like Qods Aviation comes to you and wants to introduce a new UAV for you to order and they are lazy enough and poorroo enough to show you a larger version of the Mohajer-4 with no major improvements in terms of design characteristics & capability than UAV's already being produced by Iran then a good Iranian leaderships should tell them to go back to the drawing board & come up with 3 or more new improved prototypes or else!

When 2 Iranian couples in a small shop can build manned aircraft with a better design with a total development cost of only $100K USD then Qods Aviation with all facilities, tools and equipment available to them should be able to do far better than that!!! And I personally would have picked an improved simplified version of the Azita design (which is NOT a new design) over the RQ-2 Design

Finally, when you get to a UAV that size with a comparatively low powered piston engines your drag matters and at least the fotros and Israeli models use the booms to house retractable landing gears but on this model the booms are access weight & weight distribution & reduction would have been better accomplished by adding canards or 4 smaller sized angled stabilizers to the front

And for the main wings adding wing tips would help increase stability and reduce drag.
On a canard version like the Azita I would have used the wings for Yaw much like a wing design aircraft & used the tips of the canard and wings for stability

At the very least the Iranian government should completely cancel the Mohajer-4 orders for the Mohajer-6 with a clear warning given to Qods Aviation that their next design better be something good or else!

Iran puts Hamaseh UAV on export market

A year after the Iranian military fielded the Hamaseh unmanned air vehicle (UAV), Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries now offers the long-endurance surveillance and attack system on the export market.

The Iranian company displayed a model of the single-engined, twin-boomed Hamaseh on its exhibit booth at the MAKS air show on 18 July, offering the first glimpse of Iran’s most capable UAV outside the country’s domestic industry events, says Mehrooz Hassanzadeh, export manager for the Hamaseh programme.

Asked if the Russian military is an export target, Hassanzadeh allows that it “may be”, but does not offer details.

The Hamaseh – a Persian word meaning “epic” – was displayed in public first in 2013, featuring a bulbous forward radome and the UAV’s distinctive twin-boomed tails. After it entered service three years later, Hamaseh’s appearance was tweaked with a more conventional radome appearance to become not unlike the fuselage profile of the Israel Aerospace Industries Eitan/Heron TP UAV, although the Iranian product is an order of magnitude smaller.

Hassanzadeh confirms many of the details already reported about the aircraft in the Iranian press. The 415kg (915lb) UAV can carry sensors or weapons up to 15,000ft with a maximum endurance of 11h. Despite the promised endurance and a 59kt (110km/h) loiter speed, the Hamaseh is listed with a maximum range of 200km (108nm). It can take-off using a runway or assisted by disposal rockets, and recovers using landing gear or a parachute in emergency situations, he says.

The aircraft carries several types of sensors, including synthetic aperture radar, communications or radar jammers and a photographic camera. Weapon options for wing-mounted hard points include small bombs, grenades and rockets.

Hassanzadeh declines to disclose the origins of the two-bladed piston pusher engine powering the Hamaseh UAV. He says only that the company calls it the “Hamaseh engine”.

Loool. The disrespect[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

This comment has made my day!

To be fair though, it was a complete joke when it was first unveiled (I mean claiming it’s a stealth drone when it has non-retractable landing gear...really?), but then they did modernise and improve it.

Yet, I do see your point.

Good job about UAV technology... It is very important in case of war.
But, 10000 meters is mostly accepted as 30000 feet. it is very hard to go over that unless you have your special engine which after that hight most of the engine loose a lot of power...

WARNING: Iranian general Hossein Salami has threatened to 'open the gates of Hell' over Israel
IRAN'S military commander has warned that his country will 'open the gates of Hell over Israel' after the country retaliated to one of its fighter jets being shot down by Syrian forces.

By Anthony Blair12.02, 10 Feb 2018 UPDATED 14.02, 10 Feb 2018
The comments were made by the Lieutenant Commander of the country's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Brigadier General Hossein Salami.

He also threatened the United States, saying that his country had the military power to destroy all American bases in the region.

Taunting the US, he said they would be better "to leave the region before its defeat."

Earlier today an Israeli F16 fighter jet was shot down after coming under fire from Syrian forces.

A spokesman for Iran's Supreme National Security Council said Syria's response was "a clear warning to Israel. The era of Israeli strikes on Syria is over."
