What's new

Iranian Space program

It’s not sabatoge. If US did sabatoge the launch they would not go and gloat about it.

This was another sign of Iranian incompetence.

I am not sure what they are doing, but it possible they are messing with the liquid fuel mixture. Such a thing is highly dangerous even in Normal situations by highly competented crews.

Iran’s Space Program has been in stagnation for 10 years.

It's seen improvements with a shoestring budget. Safir to Simorgh.

Edit:

In my "imagination"

1. The SAT took a not so high resolution pic. Maybe the high resolution part of this SAT has a failure and the backup do the pic (shit happens)

2. The US INT take this pic and "modify/scale it up" by software and then show it Trump (i still have problems with the shadows in this pic)

3. Then Trump did a pic.

If you think I fit in your stupid eslah talab/osoolgara narrative, think twice kid. There are too many idiots on both sides that I don't even want to associate myself with any of them.
Party names cab be relative and worthless, but agendas are constant, there wasn't, and there wont be a third agenda in everlasting Ali-Moavieh conflict, even though many people tried and we know their place in history today.

Assembling Of Nahid-1 Satellite To Be Finished in 5 Weeks

ICT Minister Rejects Claims about Failed Satellite Launch

Sat Aug 31, 2019 1:43

"I have no idea about Trump's claim on alleged satellite launch or missile test at the Semnan Space Research center," Azari Jahromi said on Friday, on the sidelines of his visit to Space Science Research Plant.

Azari Jahromi was reacting to a rumor about a failed “Nahid 1” satellite launch, saying that the satellite was safe and sitting inside a laboratory.

His remarks came after, Trump on Friday tweeted a highly-detailed aerial image that appeared to show the charred rocket launch pad and damaged vehicles at the Imam Khomeini Space Centre in Iran’s Semnan province, after an apparent rocket explosion at the site a day earlier.

“The United States of America was not involved in the catastrophic accident during final launch preparations,” Trump wrote.

He declined to say where the photo came from, however, telling reporters outside the White House, “You'll have to figure that one out yourself.”

Anonymous Iranian officials told Reuters that the rocket had exploded due to “technical issues”, but there has been no official statement from Iran's government so far.

Commenting on the characteristics and features of the Nahid-1 satellite, the ICT Minister said, "Nahid 1 can stay in space for two-and-a-half months."

Azari Jahromi on the latest situation of the Nahid-1 said that satellite is in the assembling of cameras process and this step will be finished 5 weeks later but will be tested in a laboratory situation.

Iran's ICT minister showed Nahid-1 Satellite to reporters and rejected any suggestion of satellite launch, saying, "Nahid 1 is a Telecommunication satellite and it will work in the UHF band and KU and will establish communicative connections and is primarily a communications satellite."

"Nahid 1 will be stationed in a 250 Kilometer orbit around the earth and its operation time is 2.5 months. Nahid 1 is equipped with high-resolution cameras and can take high-resolution photographs and send them back to earth," he added.

Azari Jahromi stressed that Nahid 1 is equipped with the latest technology and after the testing of Nahid we can use a series of such satellites as a Telecommunication System.

"The latest technology of opening and closing solar cells on the satellite will be tested with Nahid-1. After testing, we can mass produce these communication satellites, creating a series of telecommunication systems in Leo's Layer of earth," the minister added.

Iran has showcased the newly-developed satellite “Nahid 1” that had undergone final testing and is being prepared for a launch in the near future.

On Friday, US President Trump tweeted an uncommonly high-resolution photo of an apparent explosion at Iran's space Centre, raising questions over whether it was supposed to be shared.

Early in February, Azari Jahromi reiterated that Iran’s space program is completely peaceful, rejecting any connection between the country’s missile program and space technology.

Iran's space industry is facing US sanctions but the Islamic Republic has managed to overcome them by relying on domestic capabilities and capacities, Azari Jahromi said.

The US, he said, is trying to disrupt the program, while the Europeans are refusing to cooperate with Iran in the field.

“Iran is seeking further cooperation with other countries within the framework of space diplomacy as the country pursues a peaceful space technology,” he added.

Head of the Iranian Space Agency (ISA) Morteza Barari had announced in mid-December 2018 that his country's plans to manufacture a home-made telecommunication satellite in the next few years.

"Building an indigenized telecommunication satellite within the next 7 years is atop the ISA's plans," Barari said.

Barari underlined that Iran also planned to build a sensing satellite with a 1-meter precision power in 7 years.

Barari had also announced in October that his country was standing among the 9 top world countries in developing satellites.

He also added that Iran ranked first in the region in the aerospace sector, explaining that Iran ranked 14th in the world in 2016 but it jumped three grades and ranked 11th in the world in 2017.

Commentary

Also according to North Korean past practice, during each space launch campaign, a second launcher is also sent to the space center, as a backup.

It's seen improvements with a shoestring budget. Safir to Simorgh.

Simorgh is ancient history, it was supposed to be launched 8+ years ago.

Iran should have already been on it’s 3rd or 4th SLV variant.

Instead it’s still stuck on Safir (1st) and experimenting with Simorgh (2nd variant).

For Iran to spend all this money to build that space launch facility in the middle of no where and then get these results is surprising.

I mean Iran should basically take Khorramshahr Missile and convert it to SLV as that can take a nice payload to high altitude.

Hello Waz, I don't normally do this but this newly made account has recently decided to delve into what can only be described as childish patronizing and trolling which is more than evident in the Iranian threads he visits. A quick look at his posts will show this to be true.

Was it a sabotage? yes

Commentary

What happened to Iran? Back in 2012, some members of IranMilitaryForum.net were bragging that the space program of the I.R.I. was more advanced than that of North Korea.

Today, we see that Trump in his tweet, claims responsibility for the sabotage of not only this Safir-e-Nahid space launch, but for all space and nuclear sabotages that have struck Iran for years.

It is no secret that by allowing some German company to sell critical parts to Iran, the U.S. is flooding Iran with faulty components, responsible for notorious fatal failures.

North Korea also imports many components from China, but these are reliable unlike the planted Germans' one.

This year, as announced since February, North Korea has tested no less than 2 new-type aero ballistic missiles and one new ultra-heavy MLRS. All without fail.

Indeed, by outsourcing all its strategic development to North Korea, Iran can spare shedding more tears and blood.

Furthermore, North Korea is among the safest society in the world, enemy terrorists can not roam freely and assassinate key scientists like in Iran.

This will become ever more pressing should the next Safir-2-e-Zafar fail.

North Korean universities open new majors to focus on science tech education

September 03, 2019

SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- Dozens of universities in North Korea established new majors focusing on science and technology this year, the North's main newspaper said Tuesday.

According to the Rodong Sinmun, 85 new majors opened at 37 universities nationwide, including those in the fields of medical equipment, information security, nano-material engineering and robot engineering.

The newspaper also said preparations are under way to open 11 new high schools specialized in information technology in each province, as well as to designate one middle school each in every city and county to focus on technology education.

"This holds great significance in that it enables nurturing talents necessary for economic development in the regions and other sectors," the Rodong Sinmun said.

In a similar article, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said, "Educational system of professional technology was further strengthened through the combination and arrangement of some colleges of professional technology."

"Technical senior middle schools in various fields were established throughout the country last year and this year to train students into talents mastering at least one modern technology along with the secondary general knowledge," it said. "Senior middle schools" in North Korea are comparable to high schools in South Korea.

North Korea has been stressing the importance of improving its science and technology levels, revising its constitution in April to state that "science and technology power is the nation's most important strategic resource."

The articles came as North Korea kicked off a national conference of teachers in Pyongyang to discuss the country's future education policy direction.

On Monday, senior party officials urged the participants at the conference to train more "talents to make contributions to the development of national science and technology," according to the KCNA.
