Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visits Vietnam

(VOVworld) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today/ Friday begins a two-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang. This is the highest level visit ever by Iranian leaders to Vietnam aiming to strengthen Vietnam-Iran comprehensive cooperation towards the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

(VNA) President Truong Tan Sang and his Iranian counterpart, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have affirmed their determination to further strengthen and develop Vietnam-Iran bilateral ties, especially in trade, agriculture, seafood, culture, sports and tourism.

After a welcome ceremony for the Iranian leader in Hanoi on November 9, the two expressed their pleasure at the burgeoning cooperation between the two countries.

They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

This is the visit of the friends to seek opportunities of economic cooperation, trade and investment between the two countries to bring benefits to peoples of the two countries.

Vietnam always follows the motto non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries. We believe that Iran has fully the right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and compliance with international laws, depending on the choice of Iranian people, not Vietnamese people. Any doubts about Iran developing nuclear weapons, it is the responsibility to solve between Iran and IAEA, not a responsibility of Vietnam.

Vietnam also opposes any action of threaten to use of force to threaten Iran. We support the resolution of controversy by diplomatic solutions.

Vietnam-Iran relation is not intended to harm the interests of other countries such as the U.S, Israel..., the countries with which Vietnam has also good relations.

We reserve the right to cooperate with each other for the legitimate interests of each country, and no 3rd country has the right to interfere with our relationship (Vietnam-Iran).

If someone intends to intervene in the relation between Vietnam-Iran, please see again my comment at # 8.

Ahmadinejad Stresses Close Ties among Iran, Indonesia, Vietnam

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underlined Iran's close and good relations with Indonesia and Vietnam, and said the three countries enjoy common viewpoints about reforming the current world order.

Ahmadinejad described mutual relations between Iran and Indonesia very good, and told reporters in Tehran that Indonesia is the largest Muslim country and has a very important role in the region and the world.

He stressed that Indonesia is the founder of a meeting which is about democracy and effects of local cultures on good governance.

Officials who presented their viewpoints in the meeting underlined basic reforms in current existing world order, the president said, adding that Iran's position about new world order has found its place in the world.

Concerning his visit to Vietnam, Ahmadinejad said that the country was in the front line of resistance against occupiers and bullying powers and moves toward progress.

There is an emotional relation between the two nations of Iran and Vietnam, the president said, adding that the Vietnamese have special respect for Iranians and both sides are trying to further expand ties.

He stressed that the two countries have common viewpoints on reforming the current world order.

Ahmadinejad said in his talks with Vietnamese officials the two sides reached good agreements for expansion of cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, science and technology and it is hoped that all agreements be operational soon.

We had 20 years to keep the hatred for Americans after the war (1975 - 1995). It is long time enough so that we can leave the past and towards the future.

I must admit to you that about 2/3 of the Vietnamese people now forgive for US, because 2/3 of Vietnamese were born after the war. Moreover, we beat them, why we should continue to keep the hatred with who that we defeated?

If you can not beat someone, you will keep hatred him forever until you die. It is understandable to humans.

Maybe not the most dumbest thing ever said on the internet but it is close. It's good to have some Iranian members here to criticize these Vietnamese. They think Iran is asking for trouble by not letting ever sites to be inspected. The Pinoys and Viets here worship US yet this country was responsible for slaughtering them back in those days. Iran has every right to develop nuclear energy. We don't even care if Vietnam wants to have closer ties with Iran, we only laugh at the idea of Vietnam persuading Iran to give up nuclear energy which was suggested by Viet himself. Don't know why these cheerleaders love the US so much after spraying them with chemicals to poison them and turn them into BBQ with napalm. They murdered plenty of Pinoys too and then there are the Japanese who let loads of Viets starved to death during WW2. Like you said slavery mentality.
