Nice but disappointing at Iran's level of technology!!!

Artesh needs to build large presses and a handful of large vacuumed oven press so with it they can build multi section Tank, APC/IFV chasses and fighter bulkheads,.....

Artesh needs to be building a large fleet of armed quads & UGV's with good autonomy and user friendly software built in all sizes from small ones to large ones the size of Tanks they should be building TBM's off all shapes and sizes from large nuclear power ones to smaller, faster, easily transportable TBM's that you can use on the battel field
Artesh needs to produce high powered magnets and build newer more innovative engines of all kinds rather than sticking to outdated designs

And for $1000 USD every Iranian military vehicle larger than the Safir needs to be equipped with thermal camera's one of these maybe https://hopewish.en.made-in-china.c...ed-Police-Use-Thermal-and-Visible-Camera.html

Any news on Karrar tank? Has it been seen service with Artesh and IRGC?

I totally agree with you. it's time to use the technologies of the private sector Every year in our military exhibitions we see some good technologies of Iranian companies but at the end of the day non of them will be used .The army should use advanced technology in military equipment that it builds for the ground forces. The army should seek to build weapon with higher-power, such as advanced tanks and jet power uavs for ground attacks.

Any news on Karrar tank? Has it been seen service with Artesh and IRGC?

no. we're still waiting to see it.

no. we're still waiting to see it.

In General they need to be more innovative for example add magnet assisted cylinders &/or axel and some sensors and processing power to a standard CNC or LNG combustion engine for a more efficient or more powerful engine or produce your own hi power magnets to build larger more capable BLDC motors based on your own specs or build a compressed air engines assisted by BLDC motors and magnets to get more power and rpm or build a cheap jet engine that that doesn't need a turbines and uses BLDC motors to compress the Air and uses heat inside the engine to power a generator,..... for short ranged target drones, cheap short ranged battle filed cruise missiles & UAV's,....

The possibilities are endless we just need to stop basing all our R&D based on what other militaries have done in the past and are doing today and Iran's Defense industry needs the spear head the growth of technology in most sectors in Iran and create more jobs in the defense sector and do a better job taking advantage of moores law in their products. And since Iran has so much Natural Gas then the military need to develop engines and fuel(s) that takes advantage of that!
And Iran's government need's to increase investment in weapons procurement and all branches of the military need to use their own facilities, tools and personal for R&D

As for privet companies if they will pick up the tab for their own R&D and Production cost and sell products at a reasonable price sure why not! BUT if they wanna put together a large number of imported parts mixed with a few domestically produced parts and sell that product at 10 times it's value to the Military then clearly it's not something Iran can afford doing but if it's a privet company with it's own factory and tools to produce the weapon or part in a limited capacity with +80% domestically produced part and materials and government investment can massively increase production and reduce the cost of the weapon to a reasonable price then yes because that's an investment into a company that knows what it's doing!
Aside from that by the most part capable Iranian privet companies needs to stick to Producing Parts, Tools & Materials that are based on specs given to them by the Military.

At least that's why I think anyways...

The typical problems of Irans military...
The Army wants its factory to keep working and refuses to give tasks to the defense ministry factories...
They re-invent the wheel because they always find flaws in defense ministry products...
They don't even ask defense ministry or even IRGC factories if they have experiences in those fields, instead they make studies about what optical systems are used in worldwide tanks.

But well, the other side has problems too. Sometimes IRGC factories produce something and just to be able to present something similar, defense ministry developed something similar but with Chinese or other imported components to have quick results. This all goes 3 ways between Army, IRGC and defense industry.

Competition is good but there must be more cooperation between them...
Army wants to keep their personell employed with tasks is a justification but not this re-invent the wheel scenarios.
Traditionally the Army thinking is backwards compared to the other two. While the defense industry often wants the project for their own factories.

But this is how it goes with growing military industries.

Hey @PeeD is there any further news on Karrar tank? Or it is cancelled?
