They are supposed to receive Kheibar for test. Please remember special forces should carry a weapon that has proven reliable. They can't afford wasting time on a jammed weapon. They are the last to receive a new weapon

Iran tests air defense system to shoot enemy drones - Xinhua | English.news.cn

TEHRAN, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Iran successfully tested its Skyguard Air Defense System on Saturday to shoot down hypothetical enemy drones in the massive drills in the southern parts of the country, semi-official Fars news agency reported.

The Skyguard missile defense system was put on test on the third day of the ongoing military exercises which are underway with the participation of Iranian ground, naval and air forces.

The missiles fired from the Skyguard "successfully" hit several drones of the hypothetical enemy, including the home-made Hazem Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, according to the report.

The Skyguard Air Defense System is a laser-based system to protect aircraft against a variety of military threats.

The six-day joint drills by Iranian army's ground, naval and air forces backed by Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base is scheduled to be held in the southern part of the country, including waters extended from east of Hormuz Strait to the north Aden Gulf.

This thing has actually happened before in history. In 1970's there was a Soviet/Indian backed uprising in Pakistan's Baluchistan which was threatening to break up Pakistan, then Iranian army went into Pakistan and crushed the uprising. At the time, this information was kept hush, hush and only decades later we have found out about it. So this could be true. But it is really a shame that a news site has published this news just to get an increase in hits. Since such things must be kept hush, hush in order not to inflame or hurt the nationalist passions of Pakistanis. Such a help should be completely secret and only decades later information about it released just for historical purposes.

India was not involve in that but Soviet Union along with Iraq Baath party.
