Hi Bahram..so what is " muzzle Referencing"..can you explain a bit..:undecided:
It comprises of a mirror mounted on the muzzle of the tank gun and a laser that is mounted on the gun mantle( where the gun connects to the turret) .The Laser is reflected off the mirror and it indicates to the gunner if the boresight has been thrown off by repeated violent recoil of the main gun firing and allows the gunner to realign his sights with the gun. As Yugocrosb95 stated above its for maintaining accuracy.

Making the Iranian copy of the HK417 (Masaf) rifle the standard service rifle all across the board would be great.

For the tanks, Iran has a large and diverse fleet of tanks. If Iran were to build 20x Karrar (T-90) tanks a year and upgrade 20x T-72s a year, all while constantly maintaining and upgrading older tanks, I believe that would be fine.

For Helicopters, Iran needs to either build some new Toofan 2 (Super Cobra) helicopters or go ahead with the Shahed 216 project.

Upgrade the rest of the tanks to Karrar standard, and acquire new helicopters (if even possible) and things will be looking very good.

T-72 and T-90 have APFSDS and HEAT limitations due to their autoloader mechanism. :(
The limitation only effects the length of the APFSDS penetrator rod and is due to the two piece ammunition (Projectile and Propellant charge)that they used. British Chieftain , Challenger and Challenger-2 have the same limitation as Russian T-64/72/80 & 90 tanks even though they have a human loader because of their "3 piece ammunition (Projectile, propellent charge & Primer cap) that they use. Single piece APFSDS rounds don't have the same limitation because the length of the Penetrator rod can extend all the way down to the base of the Propellant charge. The longer the rod the more penetration it can achieve.

Sure, but for T series there is limitation in length of APFSDS and HEAT while Challenger doesn't have that while Abrams have single piece hence best but requires more space to maneuver the huge round.

Unfortunately there was only one Karrar main battle Tank participating in the Great Prophet 17 exercise. What was thought to be the second Karrar MBT is only the same Karrar without the camouflage netting and shrouds.

Bahram Jan I have few questions:
1-Why they only had one Karrar ...surly the Tank Factories can produce more than one within the last two years. Is it because the final configuration of the tank still not decided.

2- What engine is used ..Same old T72 original or upgraded..who provides the engine...Iranian or Russian.

3- Does Karrar have "Active Protection" system. How do you rate Karrar against Latest Merkava Tank .

why spread false informations ? why some people need to make up stuff to put everything in negative light *facepalm*

pics from different karrars in the exercise.

karrar95.jpg

slightly different main cannon turret (just look at the tip of the cannon), camouflage on turret and armour and abit change in machinegun...

even a blind man can tell its not the same Tank.

its 2 different Karrars the second one is a newer produced model.

they are still some changes going on in the Tank. Its entering mass production though according IRGC`s run Instagram page.

Thanks for the photos Dariush, but the question still remains...why two....why not have more ..it would be good to show the public that Karrar is now in production.
