Iranians don’t wear battle armour. It’s a culture thing.

If you see Iranian special forces they barely wear anything. Some are fully loaded and look just like US special forces/Marines others wear nothing.

It’s preference.

What do you mean culture thing? Does yeeting body armour have a multi-millennial tradition in Iran?

This is just another excuse for a lack of combat preparedness that seems to pervade the Iranian military outside of some IRGC units.

It comes down to the concept of martyrdom and shaheed.

IRGC embraces shaheed and martyrdom that’s why you see generals and high ranking commanders/officers on the battlefield lines where as Western armies they are miles away or sitting in air conditioned headquarters.

It’s not combat preparedness I can tell you that. It’s not like Iran can build underground mountain cities (massive level of engineering requires) and then not know how to distribute proper body armour to its soldiers.

A handful of IRGC/Quds Force, HZ, and tens of thousands of Shiite militias stopped over 200,000 Islamic terrorists in Syria many battle hardened warriors from battle zones like Chechnya, Bosnia, Sudan, Libya, etc.

Like I said culture thing. Interesting thing is Hezbollah soldier is usually better equipped than IRGC soldier. But then you will see HZ with no body armour or communication devices.

Bahrain-Israel is pushing her luck to far
:undecided:

the head of Iran’s Ground Forces, Mohammed Hussein Bakri, announced that their forces were prepared for any land battle required by the state, in response to “foreign threats.”

Bakri also boasted about significant military advances by the Iranian military, claiming that they are “ready for all possible combat mission.” The local chief of staff introduced a renewal designed to allow two tanks to be moved simultaneously, declaring: "It is essential to protect our territory."

hope we see their civilian version on our roads, i am pissed off of Iran Khodro. hope the army, IRGC and MoD dominate market.

The development was probably assisted by IKCO, no point going at it alone.

The unveiling of these trucks is good news, not only can they be used as tank/apc carriers but as troop, mortar, artillery, mobile air defence, ballistic missile and much more.

They also signal that development of the Karrar tank is still underway if they were specifically unveiled as tank carriers. No sense in going through all that effort just to transport target practice M-60s and rusty soviet tanks to the frontlines.

Hopefully this marks the end of using foreign-made trucks in the Iranian military. This has invited a lot of international scrutiny against iran for using benz/iveco trucks as ballistic missile carriers. And has hampered their import into Iran resulting in civilian companies using outdated and dangerous mercedes l-series trucks which have awful environmental track records.

The development of military vehicles has been very much active these past years if anyone hasn't noticed.

Iran has now developed:

Kian-500/600/700

Raad AD/Zolfaghar 6x6/8x8 TELs

Zoljanah 10x10

Zafar 8x8

Neynava(?) 4x4

Raad 6x6 MRAP

Toofan 4x4 MRAP

Aras 2 (light tactical vehicle)

Rouintan (Humvee class)

and more
