I would have problems with it if it would be a medieval European helmet.
Greeks were viewed by Iranians as cousins and related people, mythological via Salm and genetic as proven today. They are mixed but ultimately of Iranian origin.

Everyone should always remember that many Greeks fought together with the Persian army against Alexander who was viewed as barbarian by them. Especially Spartans were very close related to Iranians.

Well are you sure it's the case ? As far as I'm aware iran attack of Greece was because of Athens raided some Iranian territory in today turkey and iran sent an ambassador to athens for explanation and they killed the ambassador .and so the war started and the target was not the Greece it was Athens and the war with Sparta started only because their king some h ow roped by Athens into the conflict .and in that war Sparta lost the most among the Greek city states because they were stood their ground while the rest didn't do that. But if you look at several year later and look at the Greek civil war guess it was called Pontian war or such we supported Sparta with money and ... And as the result Sparta won (to be honnest at first we just prolonged that war and let Greek city states bleed themselves and I guess that strategy resulted in the rise of Alexander III of Macedon)

I have a different theory on this entire issue. As you know, the only remaining historical sources are from the Greeks and we all know about propaganda. Even to this day, in the age where everyone has a camera on their phone, armies and nations still use propaganda and exaggerate figures on a regular basis.

Now as you know the Athenians supported a bunch of Greek separatists who raided and burned down a Persian controlled city on the west coast of modern day Turkey. The Persians primarily wanted to punish Athens and to make an example out of them. In the end, the forces of Xerxes burned Athens to the ground and as you know Athens was by far the most impressive city that the Greeks had at that time.

Remember the Persians were ruling over vast swathes of territory and they were governing cities like Babylon and Persepolis, the likes of which the Greeks had never seen. After burning Athens, supposedly the Persians were badly defeated on the field and at sea. This is according to the Greeks. However from a logical standpoint, if you think about it, what motivation would the Persians have to keep going after burning down Athens ? In reality if you think about it, they already had all the territory in the world and to them Greece was largely looked down upon as a sort of backwards backwater.

Out of all of Greece, Athens was the only decent city, so why even bother with the rest ? Now I'm not trying to be a revisionist here but all I'm saying is that when the only source is from the Greeks, then you have to look at the history with a little skepticism. Is it possible that in reality, after Athens the Persians withdrew and the Greeks simply made up the rest to make themselves sound impressive ? What actually happened back then ? Who knows.

These are cream of the crop IRIA soldiers yet they aren't that much better equipped than a regular conscript beyond the M4 copies and new cammies.

Kevlar/Aramid helmets are like $100 a piece, they would probably be even cheaper in Iran.

You guys had a 19.6 bn dollar defence budget last year (according to IISS). Probably higher if you count the IRGCs smuggling/illicit business activities. Where does that money go??? That's higher than Egypt and Turkey.

Egypt and Turkey still import tons of weapons, Iran none. So theoretically with that budget you would be 1/3 the way to full rearmament if you rely mostly on domestic industries (experts predict a refresh of Iran's military would cost $40bn). Yet there is little evidence of that being the case.

This was all for show, that's all. It's not like they were actually going into battle. I'm sure they have kevlar vests and helmets. Much of Iran's military budget goes into missile development, new drones, trucks, aircraft production, etc. Honestly, slowly but surely, the Iranian military is modernizing and improving with time.

I understand your point of view , But this is only for show and it happens regularly ,this is to show off in front of the visiting High ranking Commanders to show their discipline and readiness ,I was lucky enough to be in few of this show of readiness when i was a child in the 90`s . My uncle was a paratrooper at Shiraz 55th Airborne division . but if you really want to see them in full battle Gear you need to declare war

Iranians don’t wear battle armour. It’s a culture thing.

If you see Iranian special forces they barely wear anything. Some are fully loaded and look just like US special forces/Marines others wear nothing.

It’s preference.
