sadad family:

compact surveillance device consisting of IIR and optical sensors with range finder. system is capable of elevation to cover more area.
sadad can achieve 100x zoom and it's field of view changes between 0.26-26 degrees. it can rotate in 360 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically. maximum rotation rate is 200 RPS.

the most important Iranian made IIR sensor:

TIC-S-1 and TIC-S-2 are the most important Iranian made infrared sensors. these systems detection range against fighter jets are 50 and 150 respectively, in case of TIC-S-2 for leaving aircraft the range extents to 300 km because of more infrared emission by engine exhaust. this system (TIC-S-2) is also capable of detecting a human from 15 and a tank from 30 km away.
TIC-S series utilize advanced real time image analyzing software for better processing the input of it's FPA (focal plane array) sensors for better detecting potential targets. the sensor is a cooled variant to achieve better image. all combined results in a clear image comparable to the ones of CCD devices.
TIC-S-2 is a compact system with 60 cm in length, 26 in width and 30 cm in height. thus it's possible to integrate in different platforms including fighter jets.

This multi-purpose camera can be installed on a variety of helicopters, aircraft, UAVs and ships to carry out reconnaissance and surveillance missions. EOVP-4 is equipped with infrared and TV cameras that in a modular structure have the ability to convert and adapt to a variety of parameters in the assigned mission.

Sadad 103 is a fixed identification system equipped with visual and thermal cameras that can be zoom up to 110 times in a visual camera. The camera is equipped with a laser rangefinder for accurate targeting of air, land and sea targets. This camera also has the ability to remotely control and send images wirelessly. The dimensions of this camera are 80 x 80 x 164 cm and it weighs about 100 kg. The Sadad 103 is capable of operating at minus 30 to 60 degrees Celsius.

Sadad 103 laser rangefinder system has a coverage capacity of 150 meters to 14 kilometers and if it is not used, there will be almost no radiation from this system. Determining the target direction and range with an error of 0.003 degrees per moment is one of the properties of this system. This system also includes the ability to detect and track moving targets.

with the use of Sadad's visual cameras, human detection capabilities of Sadad is from a distance of 10 km, and the ability to detect details about a person from a distance of 6 km are possible. In the case of the discovery of objects or vehicles, this number is 16 km for the initial discovery and about 11 km for the detection of details. When using a thermal camera, the range of human discovery is 8,000 meters and the detection of details is 3,500 meters. These numbers are 14,000 and 5,000 meters for cars or objects, respectively.

Sadad 105 or Super Sadad

This system uses more powerful cameras than the previous model. In Sadad 105, a cooled thermal camera with continuous zoom and a visual camera with 120x zoom power along with a laser rangefinder are installed. In this camera, there is also the remote control capability along with the ability to send images wirelessly. The range of target detection with a visual camera for humans is 13,000 meters and the detection of details is 9,000 meters. These numbers for cars are 24 and 13 km, respectively. Determining the target direction and range with an error of 0.003 degrees per moment is one of the properties of this system.

In the thermal camera section, we see the discovery range of 12 km and detection of details in 9 km for humans. for the detection of objects and vehicles, it has the ability to detect at a distance of 24 km and see details at a distance of 13 km, the dimensions of this system are 120 x 90 x 128 cm and its weight is about 170 kg. The Sadad 105 is capable of operating at minus 30 to 60 degrees Celsius. The Sadad 105 laser rangefinder system has a coverage capacity of 150 meters to 14 kilometers. This system also has the ability to detect and track moving targets.

That's not what I meant, there are thousands of companies that can produce E/O sights - but only very few of them is capable of producing the necessary sensors and detectors for the critical part of the E/O.

Does Iran produce the detectors or import them?
