What is there to speak for us? As long as our investment in Iran is safeguarded, we have no issues on bilateral issues between Iran and Pakistan. Iran is just a source of energy and a transit route to central Asia for us, nothing more, nothing less.

If Pakistan, Iran and Turkey band together it will create a lot of concerns in places like Washington D.C., Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and New Delhi. So this is definitely a positive development.

Surprising thing is everywhere I go and people ask me where I am from and I say I am from Pakistan it's the Iranians who are the most friendly and start shaking my hand and want to hug me. This goes for the ex-Shah of Iran contingent and the Mullah contingent. Totally confusing as I am wary of them. Though I might have geopolitical and strategic affinity I seem to know the Iranian people very little. It's time we started School kid exchanges and student exchanges to get to know our neighbours a little better. perhaps we should have summer camps for Pakistani, Chinese, Iranian, Turkish and Russian Kids where they can learn about each other and form friendships.
