thank you

@cabatli_53 What's your opinion on this Saeqeh?

I don't have much info about that project but It is electronic, microwave, radar and sensor quality makes all those metalic/composite aerodynamic designs superior against rivals. If you pay attention to advancements of the European and USA fighters, They systematically upgrade their sensors to response the new threats. To develop best sensors, They invest on new raw materials/ semi-conductors since decades which is capable of providing longer working performance, quicker processing abilities, less heating problem to provide better performance on a small weight. The strategic subsystems providing best performances are under export regulations of developer countries and There are just a few countries which is able to produce them. Even If Export variants of those sensors always provide downgraded performance than originals, Exportation of them are restricted with special permissions and numerical limitations. I mean Development of a fighter without advancing sensor, microwave and electronics just help foreign fighters to satisfy their egoes and They just play with your fighters like a mouse that You don't even realize until a missile approaches to you (F22 Raptor has an AESA with an estimated range of 300km) so No country has a choice of delivering protection of skies to chances/possibilities/national pride stories.

and is no more danger than you.You were forced to follow the order of americain.car a war between israel and turkey, is lost in advance for you.The F-22 has not worn 300km. by HESA Saeqeh against a long range missile to equip. can defeat an F-22, if it comes into teritoire iranien.et everything will depend of the scrambling ability. but as I already expliqué.si and the American attack, he'll have more to lose than win. all their military base and their economies in the region will be taken to assaut.les American can not permetre her.

In any case I will like a cooperation between china and russia iran to build a fighter. the american are lache.il can that Iran could become a super puissant.alors he uses the embargo in order to weaken the grace God has pays.mais our Bravour, our pride and our people, and is still standing . and progresses more than the other, with a sovereignty that many countries are not

That's all reasonable but what should you do when you have issue with those 2-3 countries that have the cutting edge technology on the sensors and other electronics? That leaves you with one option: try to improve your existing technology as far as you can and then try to achieve a critical number of equipment so you can create deterrence through high quantity. That's what Iran is trying to do. It is not a matter of fantasy or wishful thinking.

Here is the fighter that even today makes up the bulk of Chinese jet fighters (J-7 or Mig-21). China started actual mass production back in 80s when US was operating F-18 and Russia was using Mig-29 and Mig-31. So it was outdated even when they started the production but they had no other choice as like today's Iran they couldn't get the high-tech equipment from those 2-3 countries. They made more than 2400 of them and just stopped the production in 2013 and even exported them to countries like Iraq and Pakistan. Comparing the Performance of J-7 and Saeghe, Iranian model is superior in all areas but top speed. Were Chinese delusional back then? Don't think so, they did what they could do and that laid the way for production of more advanced fighter like the ones they are producing today.

Yes well said. more iran progresses and more one becomes. if obtien an embargo lifted. we can launch very large project, such as China, but the most important and to be sovereign.

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A senior Iranian air force commander announced that the country is producing new generation of its home-made Saeqeh (Thunderbolt) fighter jet, adding that the new aircraft will be unveiled in coming months.

Lieutenant Commander of the Iranian Air Force Brigadier General Alireza Barkhor told the Tasnim News Agency on Sunday that the construction phase of the new aircraft has already been completed.

The commander said the new generation of Saeqeh is a twin-seat fighter jet, adding that the aircraft will be officially unveiled in the next Iranian year (will start on March 21).

“God willing, efforts are underway to have the operational flight of first twin-seat Saeqeh fighter jet on Farvardin 29 (April 18, 2014, also National Army Day),” Barkhor stated.

The twin-seat aircraft means that the fighter jet will have more power, mobility, navigation equipment, fire power, pay load and operational range.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.

Azarakhsh (lightning) is Iran's first domestically-manufactured combat jet.

Saeqeh (Thunderbolt) fighter jet is a follow-up aircraft, derived from Azarakhsh. Iran unveiled its first squadron of Saeqeh fighter-bombers in an air show in 2010.

On February 2, Iran unveiled its latest fighter aircraft, the Qaher-313 (Conqueror-313). The single-seat stealth fighter jet can take off and land on short runways.

Tehran has repeatedly assured other nations that its military might poses no threat to other countries, stating that the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
