You need Iran to first produce air to air missiles for Saeqeh and Kowsars at 80-100km range. And be able to hook up with ground radars to target stealth aircraft. After getting 100km range missiles, 150km range, then 300-350km range. This is where 4.5 gen fighters are at. Far bvr is the future of air to air missiles and air combat.
