Iran says to jointly produce defence equipment with Pakistan

No one is having problem with the relation to any country including IRAN its the pace with which they are racing is questionable .... we need to have a good relations with Iran there is no question about it but for this we need to first build foundations in civilian an political sectors .... not in defence production sector ....

Having joint exercises or training is one thing but arming a country who was threatening Pakistan till the first quarter of this year with war is altogether a different level of insanity

People need to learn from the history of Pakistan and Russia relationship; we are trying mend our relationship with them from 2003-2004, but till now we have achieve only a certain level of relationship which could not be termed Ideal.

Lesson: RELATIONSHIP NEED TIME TO GROW SPECIALLY IN DIPLOMATIC WORLD

We first need to have answer very basic questions

1- IRGC and their theocratic institutions on board in this venture ???

We need to understand this same Gen. threat Pakistan with war at the time when a high level delegation of Iranian officials headed by their foreign minister was visiting Pakistan

2- Is this a decision of the current Government of President Rohani or its a collective state decision..??

3- Will this decision be followed as a consistent policy of the state no matter which government forms after the President Rohani government

There are many question which till now are unanswered so we (both PAKISTAN and IRAN) need to built mutual trust first.

let me add to this, kulbhushan Yadav, Uzair Baloch, Handing over the Chabahar port to India etc.

Well a reach out by Iranians have to be taken as a positive measure... as for joint production is concerned.... we need to think really of what benefit our industry may have by such coop...

Selling ready made equipment for right price can be another option

Than there are several other aspects as well....

We can threaten US with some serious stuff production going to Iran like some of cruise missiles with mtcr restrictions...

But than we have to.watch out for Saudis as well...

Pakistanis have some phenomenon which is called having strong bonds with Khala and hating ones Phupho....... Same is the case with Pak-Iran relations. Saudis are our khala whereas Iranians are phupho. Majority of our "intellectuals" consider Iran as a less friendly country and untrustworthy. Yani saudia sahi khel gaya apnay sath!!!

Pakistan is way to ahead in weapons and equipment production than Iran, I doubt Iran has something special to manufacture which Pakistan does not produces if far better quality and standards.

Hi,
As Iran has just recently been rejected by India ( which succumbed to the US pressure )---Iran is basically left alone to fend for itself---.

and Iran does not like that---. Iran has always diverted that wrath of the west to other nations by starting proxy wars in those regions---.

Now those war options have almost ended---Iran is now looking towards Pakistan to make it the scapegoat and target of destruction of the west---.

I hope that sane minds prevail in Pakistan---and Iran is kept a couple of arms lengths away---.
