ISLAMABAD: Iran has cautioned against a “vilification campaign” launched against it on the basis of allegations by Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch that its intelligence agencies had links with him.

A statement issued by the Iranian embassy in Islamabad on Friday rejected “unfounded rumours being circulated in some media during recent days about linking the activities of some miscreants with some Iranian organisations”.

A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) set up by the Sindh government to investigate Baloch had last year in its report said: “Uzair Baloch was involved in espionage activities by providing secret information regarding army installations and officials to foreign agents [Iranian intelligence officers] which is a violation of the Official Secret Act 1923.”

Uzair had in a confessional statement said that he had met an Iranian intelligence official in Chabahar, who had asked him to provide information about Pakistani military officials and Karachi’s security environment.

JIT report was published after Uzair was taken into custody by army under the Official Secret Act for leaking of sensitive security information to foreign intelligence agencies.

The embassy said “dissemination of such baseless” material was aimed at turning public opinion against Iran. This, it stressed, was “contrary to the spirit of friendship and brotherhood between the two nations”.

“It goes without saying that such untrue stories are not commensurate with trajectory of expanding bilateral relations in all spheres between two friendly and brotherly countries of Iran and Pakistan,” the embassy said.

A 13-page self-written confessional statement of Baloch emerged hours after Wednesday night’s tweets by Inter-Services Public Relation chief Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor about his custody which was confirmed by the Rangers’ senior special public prosecutor Sajid Mahboob Sheikh.

In a report the JIT sent to the home department in April last year it strongly recommended Baloch’s trial by a military court because of his suspected involvement in “espionage”.

I dont know whats wrong with our gov/milt . most of our neighbours are causing restless in the country and they are so scared to do anything.whats this huge army and a glorified ISI for? Great nations live with honour or die trying,no exceptions better throw all brotherhood crap aside and give them a strong message about what we can actually do if provoked in such fashion. Its a world of friends with intrests.and here we are stuck with so called Braadar islami mamaalik whom dont give a F***or care for us..

I doubt Iran has any interest in helping some low life gangster thug , this is quite a far fetched story
The passport issue now may be Pakistan can try to figure out how the whole passport thing happened may be Iran can cooperate to figure out how this may have happened so there is better understanding to deal with situation in future

The key is Haji Nasir if he work for Iranian intelligence than YES. And if that Haji just a smuggler than NO!

Iran has to answer few tough questions on terrorism in Pakistan.
  • Why was Kulbhushan harboured and permitted to operate against Pakistanis for 13 years?
  • Why Uzair Baloch, the terrorist who killed more than 200 people in Karachi, was flying around in the world on Iranian Passport. Why did you give him your passport the first place?
Don't show your anger when you are at fault. Pakistanis have seen enough $hit from India already.. we wouldn't spare more if it comes from you. Iran better render an apology for its mistakes than note of caution, because your insensitivity towards terrorism in Pakistan will offend Pakistanis even more.

Is JIT report about Uzair Baloch being made public? Does anybody has a source/link where I can read/download this JIT report?

MOAQ (Q=questions)
Why did UB choose to live in a city (chahbahar), which was the new operational base of RAW for anti Pakistan activities!

There are many other baby questions......, which can be ignored to keep analysis focused on fundamentals.

BTW.. my question, where is that “vilification campaign” which Iran is referring in this news piece?

Indian terrorist Kulbhshan entered Pakistan from Saudia.
Iranians don't know any Uzair Baloch. He made Iranian passport at home, using his own computer & printer.

Iranian mullah is flying high these days. Got Saddam killed and has his own choice of regime in Iraq.
Syria is getting in his control day by day.
Situation is Gulf States and Yemen is getting worse, just according to plan of Mr. Mullah. Now remains secretion regime of his choice in Pakistan to be implemented. Since long, different organizations under his control are working on this project in Pakistan.

Though an apparent enemy of US, Iran is amazingly and suspiciously most beneficiary of all the last two decades of US invasions, from Afghanistan to Iraq and Syria.

With all those veterans of Iraq and Syrian war, and all the NATO weapon dumps all over Pakistan, US adding troops right next to Pak border.... God bless Pakistan :pakistan:

Whenever there is a talk of Uzair Baloch in political programs, they discuss situation around it and the fact that he was working for Iranian secret services. This is what makes Iranians complain that why do they discuss reality on TV.
