Iran proposes establishment of Islamic military organization: Defense min.

Iran defense minister says the country has called for the establishment of a joint military organization among Muslim states to defend the oppressed people wherever needed.

“We have proposed the establishment of a military organization comprising Muslim countries’ armed forces in order to defend the rights of the oppressed people,” Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said on Saturday.

“It is Muslims’ duty to defend Palestine and our priority for cooperating with other Islamic countries is defending the oppressed people against arrogant powers,” he added.

The Iranian defense minister stated that Muslim states should not be third-rate powers, but must turn into one superior military power and do not allow any aggressor to think about invading Islamic countries.

Vahidi added that unity of Muslims can disappoint enemies who seek to create division among Islamic countries to keep them back.

He described the Zionist regime as the worst enemy of the Islamic countries and called for their unity against Israel.

Commenting on Iran’s military power, Vahidi said Iran is independent in terms of military equipment and its defense doctrine is based on indigenous capabilities as well as extensive cooperation with Islamic countries.

Iran first called for the establishment of a defense treaty among Muslim countries in August 2012.

“If a strong and strategic defense alliance is formed among Muslim countries to defend Palestine, the Zionist Regime [of Israel] will have no choice but to accept the resolve and demand of the Palestinian nation,” Vahidi had said.

Again ... It s not always good to blame the west. West is just an execuse for them. Inspite of the only source of energy for the world, they could have shaped their own future. Very good proposal but its not going to happen. It depends on the mood of Gulf countries, who are recognized to be puppets of the West.

Sounds like a good plan if nations who join forces to form an Islamic military bloc are sincere and faithful to the cause.

If the formation of the Islamic military organization is only to liberate Palestine than it won't work, either member states accept all the burdens and problems like, Kashmir, Palestine, Nagorno Karabakh, helping Afghanistan, help Syria defeat rebels etc.

Several Muslim countries would have to be on board if such a plan is to work. Pakistan, Turkiye, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq have to be on board so such a military organization starts out with large territory, financial support, abundant natural resources, man power, and a number of prominent Muslim countries to give it backing. Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia should also come on board, major benefits for them as well.

Nope. getting united will decrease the chances of any external adventure in the region. West looks out for its national interest. Its time Muslim nations learn that its better to be united than being on the receiving side of Deceiving side of West if they loose importance to West.

Iran should first focus on economic organization and then use that as a base for military organization.
