The timing suggest another path to be investigated, and that is if India (and/or others) was proven to assist some Pakistani insurgents, than it might just be steering trouble for Pakistan on a third fronts., Not only the Iranians whom have been back-stabbed many times in the UN by their supposedly friend India, but by Pakistan too, and has to act prudently.. This is the well known law of the third party A third party is always involved in any conflict between two parties).
Exercising tactical restraint. This incident is going to spark a total rethinking of Iranian image in Pakistani power circles. We have all options on the table including responding with proxy warfare. Iran will certainly have fun dealing with insurgencies from every single border for a sustained period of time. Arab states will outgrow Iran economically and militarily in a decade - then Iran can sit and bite peanuts.
If Iran turns unfriendly toward Pakistan, Pakistan is strong enough to do a regime change in Tehran. Then Pakistan would have more strategic depth especially important against India.where did tehran come from
If the roles were reversed and the Pakistani army killed two Iranian border guards. I doubt the reaction from a nationalistic Iranian forum would be different.RIP to the dead.
The reaction from the Pakistani members is mind blowing!!! from the calls of killing Iranian soldiers to the nuking of Tehran!!!!
As it appears there is a great deal of anti Iranian sentiment and hatred amongst the Pakistani members, I always taught that the majority of Pakistanis held positive view of Iran.
Havent we exercised such restraint with many countries already? And to what again? raymond Davis killed Pakistanis, then Abbottabad, drones, and last but not the least, Salala attack... Ofcourse we cant take on US militarily ...no country can...tht would be insane...but we havealways heard we will hurt US where it hurts them the most....and at a place and time of our choosing... But no such thing happened..ever... Infact on the opposite side... What we see..is tht.. We are again cooperating with US on drones.. Is this what we wanted withrespect to US? So actually we did nothing... And we will do nothing again....with Iran also...although no comparison between these two countries but just saying abt our response every time and our excuses then....
then Abbottabad, drones

Exactly.......
Now understand why your men are quite ....its because UN has already snubbed you and you've a reputation to maintain. In short Pakistan would not risk escalating this situation and its not because Iran and Pak 're brothers as you concluded. It was an ignoratio elenchi!!
Your soldiers understand it better that 3 neighboring countries are coordinating. And ergo this silence.
Kapish???
Hmmmm I am not sure...When U.S. president uses diplomacy and nonviolence to coerce Iran then it confuses the Iranian hardliners. The regime understands how to deal with threats but it doesn’t understand how to deal with a friendlier United States. The 'thaw' is not going to work as the current Iranian political system was a product of American and British meddling into Iran's internal affairs. The west wants Iran's nuke program gone before they lift the crippling sanctions, something Iran won't agree to.
Who are you kidding, change your flag. By the way, Pakistan can barely do regime change in its own tribal areas. If Iran turns unfriendly toward Pakistan, Pakistan is strong enough to do a regime change in Tehran. Then Pakistan would have more strategic depth especially important against India.
????Iran has been testing our nerves for a long time (even firing rockets, unprovoked firing etc i have already shared links in previous posts) & our military & political parties have ignored it always. By this particular incident has sparked & came into spotlight as it is done at the time of tensions at border with INDIA.... Samjhus ya nahiiin....
