Iran Eying Manufacture of Vertical Climb Aircraft

Seriously though, from personal observations, Iranian students are some of the most hardworking individuals in any foreign university. I feel that if more people join the "highly educated" category.....the mullah regime there would lose relevance.....and finally be dismantled.

I will be very happi if Iran can get upto the 5th generation level.....
Let me know what kind of engine Iran is manufacturing for their aircrafts.Let me have specs for it(RD-33, Iranian version)..I mean weight to thrust ratios and what speed in machs will be etc etc...cuz the engine development is the most difficult part, even China is having some difficulties in it for our JF-17 project thats why we are still relying on the imported engines from Russia.....

completely agree.both IRAN and China are dependent on russians engine tech and i cant deny it at all.but if this problem going to be solved by our engineers then we can produce a very good 5th gen fighter very soon.
and dont forget that we had a 5th fighter project with Russia that everyone know it as VITYAZ.but that project canceled by Pressures of usa

VTOL! is a very sophisticated technology, nice to hear Iran heading towards it... But considering current fleet of its AF I would recommend they should build a 4 or 4.5 generation aircraft at first..

Don't worry I guess ure engineers are striving hard to get the engine technology ....If kept on working like that then I am sure they will be able to make the aircraft engines on their own....China can help U on that I guess cuz they gained a lot of expertise through their engine R&D.....Just remember! Don't loose hope its part of the game to face unimaginable difficulties.Hopefully U guyz will getover it at last....

Quite correct on that. As a student in India, I had many Iranian friends; some of the best I had. Iranian people are historically cultured and friendly people I've seen from the days of the Shah (and Savak), then the struggle against his rule, the revolution and after. Some of the people I knew "disappeared" in the Shah's time and some "disappeared" later.

All that I feel now is, did'nt the Iranian people deserve better than this?

Tell me why do u think Iranian Airforce needs an VTOL aircraft now? The Russians started with YAK but they were not that successful in long term... The Brits were the successful deploy-er of VTOL .....
So do Iran really need them?

i didnt say that this is a VTOL one.also we dont need a VTOL fighter.

because this is a vertical climb IMO .... 100 % lift from the engine

India is a lot more resourceful and bigger but they still cannot produce 5th gen (although they are not able to produce something respectable 4th gen either)

Yes we did a lot of research for 5 gen fighter and it is in the design phase and parallely we are developing 5 gen fighter with the Russia SU 50 PAK FA. what about your progress in the 5 gen fighter???

It can land vertically but cant take off vertically with weapons and fuel
