Sonny any one can be MuslimHe's from the Revadieh tribe. Closely related to the Zends.
Both were Zoroastrian at the time of Saladin's conquest.
Yes he converted to Islam. And led the forces under the banner of Islam.
Cheers, Doc

His ancestors were Zoroastrians no doubt but I doubt he knew much about his old religion, he was an Arabised Kurd. He probably spoke more Arabic then Kurdish.
There is no arabized kurd lol .... DNA's in Iranian plateau are preserved since neolithic times. In fact modern day Iranians show 95% + genetic continuity since neolithic and iron age Proto Iranic migration into from Andronovo and Sintashta region. We are what we have always been. Sons of our soil, our identity is deeply embedded in our geno and phenotypes.
If you dispute this I will back my claim with PCA diagram. This myth of arabization or mongolosation of Iranic populations is merely what it is ... a myth.
He spoke Arabic did he not? That's what I meant, no reason to go all nationalist silly boy. Its good that you admit your ancient past unlike other nationalities.
Yup if u live in BritainFair enough but I speak English, does that make me Britisher Iranian ? your whole logic is deeply flawed.
Stop lying, he was a Muslim Kurd and detested zoroastrianismSaladin.

Mate, I meet a lot of Kurds who speak fluent Arabic and doing it for generations so need to argue with mindless bigots...the funny thing is that Zoroastrians consider themselves clever but they have not a single country and their population is going down. His ancestors were Zoroastrians no doubt but I doubt he knew much about his old religion, he was an Arabised Kurd. Where is the proof? or just another fart?He was a Muslim convert. A political convert. Like many from that time.
From a Zoroastrian tribe and family.

On the contrary our world population is surging over the past few years with hundreds of thousands of Kurd fighters reverting to their ancestral faith.
You know what that represents to the Middle East no?
Cheers, Doc

This case also highlight the perils of disinformation campaign - very dangerous. That was really embarrassing. He should have confirmed the news from more than one source before issuing such a statement and I think a public threat is always a stupid thing. It should be conveyed through proper channels.
