Investment from US as US is sending 15 trade delegations to Pakistan next year: Wells

We can not be pet dog of India and that is what USA want for its pivot India.
That's easy to take care of, make sure there is no such clause or requirements in the terms. We have current US companies investing in Pakistan- we also have our government investing, have either asked you to be a pet dog to India that you point me to, please?

“And just to be crystal clear, the US-Pakistan development partnership has primarily taken the form of grants — not loans,” said Ms Wells.

US-Pakistan partnership has also taken the form of sanctions and placing Pakistan on FATF list but let's not go there.
FATF consists of several world members, including China who voted to keep you on an enhanced grey list last time, why blame us specifically.

Its not that I dont trust them its just them its just that history has showed us time and time again they will use at as a means to push us away from China and our economic future that is tied with China

Pakistan is on the grey list courtesy US who lobbied to place Pakistan on the grey list. If it wasn't for Turkey, Malaysia and China, we would be on the black list by now.

None of this is a secret.

How so? And do you prefer we bring investments on similar terms as the Chinese to the table? we are talking about offering fair and equitable investments.
We have no problems in that case. We want same relations with you as 50s.:pakistan::usflag:

One word: unreliable.

Not that Pakistan is perfect but US has been an unreliable partner at the best of times and nowhere to be seen during difficult times.

This is a matter of just facts that can be easily researched for veracity. Facts are FATF has several member countries, including China, who also agreed and put you on the grey list, enhanced grey list, and this last time voted to continue to keep on the enhanced grey list versus a blacklist. ie. your all-weather friend voted to put you on the grey list, why single us out then?

No its not, because powerful always abuse weak for its interest.

One is our neighbour the other has sanctioned us so its right to be a bit cautious however all trade is good trade

Perfectly understandable about being cautious. I would presume you be okay with the following US actions when it gives, loans, grants, investments out:

1. We will be transparent. You will know the terms of the investment, loans, or aid.
2. We will happily submit our business, investment terms, and or loan terms to world bodies that are in place to ensure the loaner is not getting fleeced. Typically referred to as the Paris group. No hidden terms of high-interest deals from the citizens
3. We will not insist that workers, companies, and support shall be only American companies. OR demand as a part of the deal that American workers will be shifted into your country over hiring your workforce.
4. Our investing companies will provide skill-based training and an ecosystem that ensures the host country's workforce learn, get skilled, and can be a workforce that can run things on their own.

america wants influence.they basically neglected pakistan for india and pakistan shouldn't consider expanding trade ties with america.they always abuse us,their president abused us.pakistan better learn lessons fast.all the sacrifices we have made is nothing for americans.they still blame us for afghanistan mess.i think pakistan should better ignore america.we don't need them now.look at indian policy.they do whatever is best for their country.we should also do tit for tat.enough humiliation.

As they say in US,

Facts:

The [grey list] designation at the time reportedly followed a motion introduced by the United States, along with France, Britain and Germany, alleging that Pakistan has failed to adhere to the FATF guidelines on terror financing and anti-money laundering regulations

Source: Voice of America

The change comes days after reports that Pakistan had been given a three-month reprieve before being placed on the list, which analysts say could hamper banking and hurt foreign investment.

The United States spent the past week lobbying member countries of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to place Pakistan on a so-called gray list of nations that are not doing enough to combat terrorism financing.

In contrast, China plans to invest over $60 billion in Pakistan under CPEC after Pakistan lost $126 billion over the decade due to our participation in the War on Terror. Clearly, one partnership is more economically beneficial for Pakistan than the other.

No thank you. US deals come with strings attached. I rather we blow up the whole world then deal with US.

The question at the moment is why now? and why not earlier when we were best buddies since from 1947? US could have invested in Pakistan much earlier like when we have a severe shortage of electricity? US could have invested in our energy infrastructure and we could have a surplus and cheap energy? the investment news right after the Miss Wells speech on CPEC brings doubts in us. Personally i would like to have relationships based on equality with both US and China. but such a huge investment at this piece of time is very much suspicious for us.

This also shows the we are certainly doing something very right in CPEC in partnership with China.
