Invasion of Libya by US & UK ?

I am studying the events in Libya very closely and looking at British & US media gives me a feeling that a ground is being prepared to invade Libya in this vulnerable time & of course "get their OIL".
interviews of anonymous so called "Libyans" are being played on BBC and other channels over and over again "who are pleading for international intervention"

Something is fishy out there --- what do you guys think?

Two protests in Tunisia and Egypt has already been successfuly... third will also follow the same suit or the protest will continue until Gaddafi's death / resignation

UK & USA may infiltrate and support the protesters but they won't directly go for another war against Libya. They are already more than busy in Afghanistan and Iraq

Noooo the reporting of this event differs markedly from the media blitz the Bush admin put on pre-Iraq. Besides neither the US nor the UK is ready to take on more war duties, the US still being tied to the last two frivolous wars they started and the UK being battered by domestic austerity measures and defence cuts.

I don't think any invasion will happen but Gaddafi has really no choice but leave. A U.N. peacekeeping force may be there for stability.

The pentagon is giving Obama the option but unless he's a bigger fool than I thought, he's not going to take it. It would just be a monumentally stupid thing to do.

Their economy is sinking & Don't forget if they take the oil , it will compensate all of their military spending of such an operation with a HUGE PROFIT. They didn't intervene in Ivory coast where the situation has been hanging but they want to intervene in Libya which has lots of oil.

US & specially UK must not be trusted in this regard - if they do invade this country its going to create a bigger sh!t.

It doesn't though. People say the US invaded Iraq for oil, I don't buy that. Iraq is a huge sinkhole for American money and the oil that it gets out of Iraq doesn't begin to pay for it. (as a private contractor you can do quite well, but that's another story)

You mean if the U.S. takes oil ? They have oil ties already established with Libya under the bush administration they have been exporting oil to the U.S. since 05.

IF it happens , US & UK and others will "plant" a govt which not only will ensure maximum output of oil at a minimum price but also they would be "permanent" customer of US military complex.

Libyans will miss out on a "True & Organic" revolution which would be a much bigger price for the people . Again its just a hypothetical scenario that could turn into possibility quite quickly.

if they plan to invade,

the Libyan public will have no choice but to support Gaddafi once again. They would want to see anybody ruling but not the foreigners and America is not stupid to spread its legs in one more country. They are already messed up in Iraq and Afghanistan

That will turn it into an all out war & Libyan military wont stand a chance !!

A no-fly zone to keep Gadafi from bombing Libyan citizens is a possibility. But a full invasion and occupation would be stupid because it is unnecessary. The Libyans are well on their way to liberating themselves - almost done, from the looks of it.

British forces are shrinked airforce is cut down to pieces, US is in worst position with its economy already lost afghanistan and iraq and perhaps US might divert all this attention to from afghanistan and enter libya but it'll have to face similar to iraqi resistance forces and that too would make US to leave libya.

Although its clear us is behind all this from egypt to libya to iran, but in a way its better if not totally good all these ruler who've spent 3 decades and more ruling over the country piling gold, foreign currencies, richies of the world lands across the globe they've no place anymore.

One thing is for sure Chinese economic interests have been seriously damaged all sort of contracts are at stake for oil with libya are probably doomed and so might it be in africa in coming months US has played its card very well to take away energy sources or try to create environment no good for China.
