Introducing Female drivers

Women freeze. Personal experience.

My leg in cast (one of my motorcycle accidents), so wife driving.

At an intersection (Blue Nile one for those who know Poona), suddenly she sees this ghoda-gaadi heading straight for us from my co-passenger side (T-bone style).

She freezes.

And brakes.

Half of ghoda's head through the window in my lap.

If you have seen the incissors of a ghoda, you would know that big jim and twins in far greater peril in such a scenario than with plain hot chai .....

God bless women ..... but my keys stay with me.

Cheers, Doc

I remember an incident on Valentine's day a few years back..
A Woman was driving madly in a Suzuki 800 and I remarked as she was closing behind me to my passenger that she is going to crash the car. The passenger being a female has a similar reaction to Jana's about this and disagreed stating I was being chauvinistic.. The minute this sentence ended she passed me.. straight ahead was a traffic signal on red lights.. with three rows of cars waiting and rear ended a Suzuki Baleno(Esteem for Indians) at high speed. poor thing was hurt pretty bad :frown:.. but the way she was driving she was asking for it.. then again.. it was 14th Feb.. Emotions are high.. and maybe she just got dumped or something.;)

Suzuki Baleno(Esteem for Indians)

We have both Esteems and Balenos .... Esteem is 1.4 L and Baleno is 1.6 L .... I think 80 bhp vs 94 bhp.

The Baleno has now sadly been phased out and been replaced by the SX4.

Women freeze. Personal experience.

….and men are excitable, they tend to let "Big Jim and twins" do the driving for them. Here is where I should launch into a personal anecdote about my husband or boy friend to justify my statement but suffice it to say that at least three men have driven into trees watching me jog around my neighborhood .
If you’re ever in my neck of the woods let me know, I can make you freeze too :azn:.

True .... we let our second brain do the thinking in things other than driving too. Its how we are hardwired.

And its something all women use to their advantage ..... and we dont see them complaining then ..... so suck it up and take it on the chin ..... like a (wo)man.

Btw, there was a study in the UK published recently which statistically proves that men are indeed better drivers, and most definitely better parkers.

On an average it taken women 20 seconds more than men to perform the same parking maneuver ..... without dinking their own car or the ones on either side.

Again its a hardwiring goof-up ..... women simply did not get the spatial skills men are born with. We see that in everyday life too ..... no big deal about that.

Men also have way better peripheral vision ..... I for example can see a skirt swish by in a 172 degree arc. Most straight men can.

So the running into a tree/walking into a lamp-post story is an urban legend ..... best confined to Archies comics.

I'd like to take you up on your offer as you bounce by .... should put a whole new spin on "death by chocolate." :)

Cheers, Doc

Amply evident from your posts on this forum.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist  you left yourself wide open.

er..didn’t Tiger Woods get KO’d by a tree? .

Seriously, I'm not sure where you're getting you're "statistics" from but the only statistic that really matters is that men are 70% more likely to die in a car wreck then women. Research attributes this to male aggressiveness, so quit thinking with your "second brain" while you're behind the wheel. And if you ever want to have a healthy relationship with a women stop believing that you are superior.

No wonder the Saudis dont allow them to drive. You can't blame them. Imagine the ruckus and chaos they'd cause if they're ever allowed.

Nope, thatz bcoz idot sheiks like the one below are the ones making traffic laws in Soudi i think.

It should also be noted that men drive a lot more than women, even in western countries. For a number of miles driven, I think you'd find that women are more likely to cause accidents than men.

I'm glad my posts come across as such ..... none of that chocolate-hero metrosexual crap for me.

I burp and fart like the best of 'em,

if it itches it needs to be scratched ..... then and there and enthusiastically at that,

with me around ..... the woman shall not ride or drive (nor will she open doors, or pay the check, or pull out the chair at the table to seat herself),

I expect (and get) my coffee piping hot ..... early morning with the newspaper ..... in my bed (from where I shift to the loo when the pressure has built up sufficiently) and evening when I come home,

ditto for my breakfast and my dinner,

laughing means an earth shattering bellow from the pit of your stomach, ditto for a sneeze (nothing worse than a polite muted stiffled sneeze) ..... regardless of the company,

Sundays mean no bathing, going commando, and most definitely no shaving,

My woman is my woman, and I am all the male company she will ever truly need in her life moving forward,

and time out with the boys and our toys is hallowed ground not to be trespassed upon by mother or wife or daughter.

You need to try a man out like that for size (a figure of speech) ..... who knows, you may even like it. :smokin:

er..didn’t Tiger Woods get KO’d by a tree? .

Another cardinal sin ..... for a man. You do not let the wife touch your clubs. If you do, you deserve what you have coming. Also, you NEVER be stupid enough to text or call from your own phone ..... you keep an unregistered SIM for that. Amateur!

I agree ..... women drive smoother and safer.

Then they freeze.

Or panic.
