Not INS Vikramaditya, but nice pics indeed and partially confirming what I thought about the forward take off position, but I still need a better pic of Vikramadityas ramp or a top view.

Ships are always referred to with female pronouns in naval parlance - "she", "her" etc. It's an ancient tradition.
Even countries are referred using female pronouns , exceptionally male pronouns might also be used in a general language . ACC is not a ship . I would like you to read about specialism given to ACC's by USN . Calling Vikadi a beauty seems to be cheesy though .
Umm...and that makes it male? Anything special has to be male? What exactly are you saying?
(As I said before, I don't really care, I'm just being pedantic in pointing out that ships have historically been referred to with feminine pronouns in the english language.)
You are speaking as if calling a ship her makes it female

All this ruckus regarding whether The Vic is a "he" or a "she".....

Ships are referred to as "she" as a matter of tradition alone, not by visual inspection of its private parts as in the case of humans. Which part of the ship did you look at that you think is male? If any part of it looks like a "thing that looks male", thats just freudian imagination on your part!

There are no male or female organs on a ship, it is merely tradition to call it "she". You may call it "he" if it somehow reminds you of male things when you look long and hard at it, but I can asssure you, the Indian navy and all seafarers are not going to follow suit.

As I said before, I don't care whether its a "he" or "she" or "it", but it's intriguing how so many people here are saying they see male things as soon as they look at it. Too many people here are saying "ooh look at it, it's a boy!", and I want to know what exactly they are seeing when they say this.
