What's new

INS Sindhurakshak finally brought to surface

IN may not try to risk its crew by rebuilding this risky sub, they got the money so they can buy new and more advance subs, one option may be to increase order of Scorpion subs.

The Scorpenes on order RIGHT now are the replacements for these Kilo class. If the original timelines for deliveries had been kept the series of mishaps on the Kilos from 2010-now wouldn't have happened.

This is a write off it will just be used as scrap metal now

India should investigate what and how happened, may be some mole in in IN or India is experimenting some weapon etc. Thats why they don't allowed Russian to came near to the sub

I agree also, it is better to let this warrior rest , it would be more fortuitous and auspicious for the Indian Navy to acquire another replacement.

Why not remove the weapon system and then sell the hull at a private auction? I am sure some business will find creative commercial use of this thing.

Education, theme park display, decoration, haunted adventure, etc..
a) it is badly damaged
b) if there were no private entities in taking over the upkeep and restoration of the INS VIKRANT then I don't see anyone taking such an interest in a Submarine that has had such a tragic end to its service life. Do you really think a vessel were 18 sailors lost their lives would be something to show off?
