Information Pool & Analysis on Pakistan's AF Aspiration for Su-35 / Su-35S - FLANKER-E

Windjammer I bet you he has any chest of 53 Inch it was just idiot lie whom stupid Indians believed before checking it his chest

Let's be on topic windjammer

Do you thinknSU 35 will enhance the PAF capabilities

If we get the SU 35 it will be our main power horse and can lead even F 16 in war

Do you think F 16 VS SU 35 in both **** pilot who wins

not new.
Back in 2011, every month there were threads by fanboys that Pakistan will soon get J-10s or J-11
Albeit elsewhere @Oscar did put you in your place but i guess being humiliated is nothing new for you.
Likewise your MMRCA circus has been around for decades and the two unit Tejas squadron still needs a trailer on republic days....but hey, that still doesn't stop you from swinging trees and making a racket.

ROFL.
Tejas participated in Bahrain Air Show.
Also given that India despite having 4-5 times Pakistan's defence budget is hesitant in spending $8 billion for Rafales is a strong indication that Pakistan will never be able to afford $5 billion fir Rafales or $9 billion for Typhoons.
Bahrain Air Show.........did you ever stop to think how many other combat aircraft actually participated or performed in this second tier exhibition..... and do some homework on how far back did PAF checked out both the platforms you mentioned and declined them as they didn't fit into PAF's doctrine.

In recent times, when PAF acquires an aircraft, it either makes a facility for maintenance/over haul of components or rebuild factory. Secondly, PAF slowly starts to increase the numbers. We have seen this with F-6, A-5, F-7P/PG, Mirage III/V and F-16.

If PAF goes for SU-35, it wont stop at 40, it will keep increasing the numbers at some later stage and probably make a facility for atleast components maintenance however the induction of any 5th gen aircraft may get delayed.
yes realistically not before 2030. Hence need to introduce another 4.5 gen fighter and take the numbers of high end fighters to 110 as was originally intended with f16s. That is the strategy as of now. Im not so sure abt increase in numbers but yes agree with facilities and infrastructure. However they would be update further after 10-15 years of their delivery whenever that will be just as Russia's T50 technology matures and introduced in future su35 variants/updates.

Su-35 in PAF colors looks good but will Pakistan accept a “Russian Junk” phrase which they regularly used to taunt Indian Su-30MKI when compared to PAFs F-16s.

But facts remains that Su-35 in PAF or PN will give great force multiplier & maritime capabilities. But at what cost ? Don’t forget it’s a twin engine fighter which Pakistan not used previously. If China funds then I think Pakistan can afford it, otherwise with $ 9 billion defense budget Su-35 is a white elephant to maintain.

But for India it will be a diplomatic setback as far as what I believe.

As India looks towards West and US, Russia may look for new markets for its defense products, that how business progress. But economically unlike Pakistan, India can afford to choose between best hardware’s of Russian/US/Western defense equipment's.

Finally it will be Russian who will lose clout over Indian defense market unlike presently where over preference is given to Russian products.

Doesn't matter, it busted your claims that Tejas needs to be on truck for parades.

Busted my claims....you really love your self don't you.....we have even sent our turbo prop Mashak trainer to perform at numerous international air shows, when was the last time your Tejas actually participated in a flypast on India's republic day, forget Tejas, you will not even witness the Mirage-2000s or MiG-21/27s....that's the level of IAF's confidence.;
Also checking out aircraft means crap.
Even India checked out Mirage F1, Tornadoes, F-104 in 60s to 80s that doesn'mean we will acquire them.
Unlike the Indians, We don't have the habit of creating circus running over decades, PAF only checks out a platform when it has requirements. It checked both the Typhoon and Rafale before the Block-52s were released by US.... in fact PAF even exercised with the Rafales.

Its not fact.

J-10 was offered & approved in 2006 and flightglobal reported Pakistan signed 36 J-10Bs for $1.4 billions in 2009 and deliveries expected from 2014-15 and we are in first half of 2016 and J-10s are yet be seen in PAF colours.

In India's case its fact I accept.

members are requested to do not engage the trolls but report them accordingly so the Mods can deal.

Topic: So another news about we are getting SU-35 but realistically speaking, it is still a news so I would wait for official news/source/hints in this regard. Many senior members have discussed the same in the manners whereby if there is any possibility for such procurement or not and I hope members here may continue in same regard in civilized manners rather than flame baiting and personal attacks.

It is true that we have been looking for other options (The ACM statement) and there is no clear indication that which platform is considered in this view but by going the official statements and a bit of updates, seems like induction of 4.5 or ++ platform need to be backed with official statement otherwise it is just a news and geopolitics hype.

If India by any chance goes for any US top tier A/C(s) indeed, as per norms of geopolitics and nations interests, Russia would be interested to balance the equation especially against an old time rival. The US stance against Russia and China is very clear to understand and none is to be spoon fed, which warrant the influence game and geopolitics for many of rivals. The recent Pact of US-India and India's weapons procurement from west already sent a message to anti-US/West blocks/countries so the upcoming ties/relations and new blocks are not surprise at all, for the one that can see this all through developments.

Russia is totally independent to sell its weapons to any nation and definitely is not bound to any country in relation though it is always matter of national interests so by the same formula, the future sale of any weapon would be based upon the same development as well. If Russia's sale to Pakistan is subject to opposition of India then China and Russia are already in strong relations whereby China possess the large family of Flankers like India does and Russia never stopped any sale to China even production of Chinese Flankers.

The same rule applies to the buyer that Pakistan is independent to buy the weapon if the one is selling. Here, many impatience friends must keep in view the procedure and keeping the things under the wraps practice of Pakistan and China as well so it is not necessary to announce every single thing openly with beating the drums unnecessarily, which itself is a good approach to keep enemy thinking. So far, till the last updates and developments, PAF will stick to the plan of current fleet with possibility of new platform of 5th Gen. Even if we are going for 4.5++ A/C then the time will tell/any official confirmation whether it is going to be EFT or SU-35. This is not about a Confectionery purchase always that need to pay upfront as the deal is signed as there are many ways, the step by step payment, through different mods and a middle man so if PAF is serious about any such type of induction, things would be done or who knows are already worked out that they know how to do it. Upcoming CPEC is our priority and a responsibility as well which is going to be one of the economic boosters while inviting many of parties that includes Russia as well.

Reference to SU-35 possibility, we can see our relations through RD-93 purchase and overhaul facility at PAC Kamra as well which may warrant the expected purchase in future while indicating that we are moving in right direction. Also, the changing directions of countries and India;s tilt towards US/West may also be kept in view in this development. From Rafale to Scorpene and offers of F-16s assembly line in India as well as possibility of F-18 etc are indicators for any future possibilities between Russia and PAF but still depends if we want it and can have it.

With reference to EFT, we can see our interests with Turkish TFX program whereby BAE is involved and Turkey has openly invited Pakistan to participate that seems like things are already worked out.

IMO, I will be waiting for official confirmation and till then, happy posting and enjoy the thread.

Congrats to Pakistan for the SU 35,,now India has to go anything above or atleast SU 36.:-)

Even Italian air force banned participation of single engined jets in Airshows.

When out of logic, typical Indian escape, start aping others.....swapping your saree with a skirt wouldn't make you Western.l
PAF is like that guy in an Porsche showroom who has to satisfy himself with free test drives as they will never be able to afford it in even their wildest dreams.
PAF is satisfied with the fact that whether it can afford a Toyota or a Porsche, it has the talent to keep them geared up rather than the fancy Hangar Queens who are barely 60% air worthy.

MOSCOW, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's ambassador to Russia Qazi Khalilulla said on Monday that the two countries are carrying out closer cooperation in combating terrorism.

"We appreciate Russia supporting Pakistan's efforts in the fight against terrorism, as well as its willingness to supply weapons for these purposes," Khalilulla was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.

He said the Russia-Pakistan working group on fighting terrorism, which was founded in 2002, will meet in Moscow before the end of the year.

The ambassador said that Islamabad was implementing a national action plan of comprehensive resistance to terrorism and extremism, including countering violence propaganda, and blocking financial flows to terrorists and their supporters, with the aim of extinguishing terrorism in the country.

Khalilulla also revealed that the Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistani Air Force Sohail Aman had "fruitful talks" in Moscow in July on purchasing Russian Su-35 fighter jets, but he did not elaborate.

He said the Pakistani Air Force and other services of the country were considering different options of deepening cooperation with Russia, but denied knowledge of any plans to buy Russian weaponry in the near future.
