But wait, Rig Veda (and several other references in the article) was thought to be an Aryan construct. Which means Sanskrit is linked to the Rig Veda. This will lead to the Aryan Invasion Theory dying completely and the Out of India theory replacing it entirely. Time has not yet come to make such a final decision yet. No but the doctor has not yet deciphered the script. It's just a paper. That suggests that the people living thousands of years ago are the same people living today. He also mentions that the Vedic age followed the IVC era - that also proves what genetics proved about 8 years back - that North Indians and South Indians are similar(apart from weather induced differences). Still the Aryan Invasion Theory will not be trashed right away. More research, etc is needed before people can say for sure. But it does appear now that the civilization in the subcontinent has only one source. That actually does resonate with Hindu nationalists.

You don't need to cling to OIT to connect Indus Valley civilization with Vedic culture. And I have read about sustantial archaelogical proof that it was the continuity. Since human originated in Africa, you need to ask when they came that is thousands of years before. Moreover, the Iranians know about entire Indus plain and considered it as the part of Airyanem Vaejah.

@FaujHistorian its called Indus-Saraswati, because the route of Ghaggar-Hakra matches the description of Saraswati in Rigveda and Hindu scriptures also records drying of Saraswati and most of Indus valley sites are not on Indus bank but dried bank of Ghaggar-Hakra in Haryana and South Punjab(Pakistan).

Can you tell me about Mahadevan, i have read about BB Lal, Srikanth Tallegeri, Micheal Danino, Edwin Bryant who have proposed alternate history.
