If it looks like the picture in the OP, it's no 5th gen machine. That thing has a cross-section of a 737.

I assume that you are referring to the externally carried weapons and fuel tanks?

It's a 4.5G fighter. Korea is already looking for a 5G one from other countries - including Russia's PAK FA.

Correct. Unless it has hidden weapons' bays, it's not 5th generation.

This may not be a 5th gen fighter but it is an impressive fighter none the less. South Korea is really putting itself on the map.

That's a great achievement. They've really progressed a lot and learnt bigtime from KT-1 and T-50 trainer jets. Go South Korea!
