1. Thankfully Indonesia and Malaysia have patched up any problems they had. Right now Indonesia is to cater for issues she has with the Philippines and Vietnam. Australia has always tried to destabilize Indonesia. WCC never looked at kindly at this largest Muslim nation rich in resources.

2. Indonesia has been wary of Singapore's closeness with Israel.

3. Sukarno used to say that the Andaman-Nicobar Islands should either belong to East Pakistan (BD) or Indonesia. He used to call the Indian Ocean, the Indonesian Ocean. During 1965 War Sukarno had sent a troop of PT-76 tanks to the then E Pakistan.

4. There is great prospect of cooperation among: S Korea, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, BD, Pakistan and Turkey.

With an economy that is now growing at 6-7% as opposed to the 2-3% a year of Australia, it won't be too long before Indonesia is a richer country and hence able to become more powerful.

Maybe Australia wants to always stay the "big-boy" in the neighbourhood?

Indonesians, you know, if you apologized for the 1998 incident it would be better for relations between our countries. East Asian countries with large populations should stick together. Indonesia has all it takes to be a superpower, just needs a bit more.
