PRC got the VETO power after ROC was officially de-recognized by ALL power as legitimate government of 'China'. You cannot add a P5, you can transfer the power of an existing member. The original 4 members did not veto this and hence PRC got the VETO power.

Please read history, without Chinese sacrifices in fighting the Japanese and confining them to coastal China, they would have invaded INDIA. Do you know how many Chinese soldiers died fighting this war? Piggybacking? We were given P5 because of our sacrifices, you were still a colony, see the difference? This is an agreement where each side contributes about $3bn. Except for the first couple of prototypes of the FGFA, the rest would be built by HAL as it is already building the Su-30MKI and it is only left with 30-40 more MKIs to be built. The same line could be used for the FGFA with some modifications but what India is looking at is to use indigenous avionics and radar which could be eventually used in AMCA as well.

As of now, no 5th gen fighter could be compared with another because no country would ever want to put it's entire specs out for other countries as it is easier to develop a counter-balance system once their detailed specs are out.
