Pakistan is already made it clear that it will continue to have its already existing capabilities. I am 100% agreement with G Parthasarthy that we should respond in kind, there is no other way of dealing with a country who openly supports terrorism. The only thing left for them is to advertise it.

Put it that way, neither Pakistan has expansion policy nor China has one. Both countries are staying in their orbits, but China has complaint about Indian expansion. Pakistan has already open case about Kashmir since the birth of two countries. Plus Siachin,Sircreek and now most recent is water and dams. When people see Indian organized state adventurism against Pakistan, then what GOP has option left. Let India cross all the line and Pakistan has no right to defend ?. Problem is,what Indian are calling terrorism is very hard to defined. Its same Kashmiri people who been daily victim of Indian atrocities and when adopt the last option, Indian media advertise them Pakistani back terrorist. If India resolve the issue once for all, GOP has has reason to openly press those forces back to the lamp, These forces are out of lamp and presenting their motive and gain public sympathy in the name Indian state sponsored atrocities .
For the peace in Pakistan and in the region, India need to take result oriented steps. These CBM showdown has no value anymore. People of Pakistan don't trust these CBM, because no result been seen so far.

Make border between Kashmir & PokK irrelevant..let people from both the parts of Kashmir roam in and around freely. Let’s have a joint Ind+Pak committee to ensure governance of these two areas...
Initially, Indian Kashmiris can freely go to any part of India whereas this luxury should not be offered to people of PoKK and vice versa....there has to be some indentify card not as simple as ration card and not as complicated as passport
After first round of review by join committee if the results are favourable to both the countries then the next step should be allow ALL Kashmiris to travel to any Part of India and Pakistan without visa..
After second round of review by join committee if the results are favourable to both the countries then the next step should be let people from Pakistan and India travel to each other’s country without any Visa..
And perhaps the last step would be VISA free/Common VISA for ASIA, Common Currency and FTA

Musharraf already presented the idea of open border. But Indian govt, did little progress and then halted. Its no doubt both Pakistan and India are victim of terrorism, but India should not halt the ongoing agreements with Pakistan. Non state actors always try to derail constructive talks. Its India who has to take the issue seriously and aggressively. If Pakistan forget Indian govt open support to Banglaeshi rebel in 71, then whats stopping India to show big heart. Don't need to big for big heart. Its all intentions,persuasiveness, truthful. India is big country,more resources and far ahead in education. Always expect to leave good foot steps for the smaller countries and coming generations who will govern these countries.

Haider, like you or may be aam aadmi in your country want aaman with India and the same you may expect from the people of India...but the problem is with whom we should talk that is the major concern we have...who is running Pakistan is a trillion dollar question to policy maker all over the world..Is it the PM or President or ISI or Army or the US or China or Extremist??

In the past also we had talk, we had some agreements in place not just with your civilian government but with the Army also...what happened? New army chief or ISI chief takes over and they don’t comply with past agreements..

Its very difficult for both of us guys...you need decision making, authorized civilian leadership to take the decision and Indian politician needs guts and will to sincerely discuss and solve this issue..

you took my words. this will be ideal case. gud for everyone except few hawks. but a lot of political will is required from both sides given each one of us has our own specific issues which come in the way

The solution although may look good at first is a NO NO.
Pakistan's problem is not Kashmir. Its the idea called India. Once Kashmir is solved, they'll start talking about hyderabad and junagarh and sikkim and what not.
The soft border in Kashmir would then allow extremists and militants to easily migrate to India, plan and execute tasks like bombing.

Ever wondered why Pakistan is so obsessed with Kashmir? They themselves are in big problems like TTP, WoT, Economy, bad rep with the west. Still they are not ready to let go of Kashmir. This is because they will never accepted India as it is today. India is their main problem. After Kashmir, they'll come up with something else and then something else until India is the size of New Delhi.

The only solution is to freeze the current LOC and announce it the international border. No more problems. Both happy with their part.
Any other solution will be unacceptable to one of us. This is the only give nothing, take nothing solution.
