What's new

Indo Israel MRSAM (Barak 8) is ready for deployment.

how you gonna move those foreign stock around during war time, it's a logistics nightmare. thats why many think India is armed to teeth? when your missile goes empty stock, you call Israeli to ship some to your rescue. I think the war would have been over before those replenishment arrived.
A) this is why you have war reserves, India (IIRC) right now has enough war reserves to last 20 days of a full blown war but aims to increase the stocks so it has enough for a full blown conflict lasting 40 days by 2020. Any full scale war lasting longer than that is unlikely.

B) Say the stocks do go dry (after 40 says) or start to dry up, a plane can fly from anywhere in the world and land in India the same day with all necessary stocks- if need be.

C) This is also why India is now insisting on "make in India"- the BARAK 8s will be manufactured in India, so will the Rafales be, so will the FGFAs be so are the MKIs, so are the Bhramos etc etc

.
You now know why i said its made in Isreal and send it through courier ...its for his eyes only...

If we say its made in India, he surely will start the troll mill rolling...
lol, Israeli tech is not that bad even produced in India.

China is the target for India to up-to, you can't deny it. the bit by bit progress is fine , keep it up.
Yes and no, Indian military chiefs have stated time and again they are not building the military's capabilities based on a enemy-centric framework but on a capability-centric framework. Meaning they have a desired level of capability in mind in certain areas and are working to that goal. Yes China is the elephant in the room but the Indian military also has to be ready for any conflict it might be engaged in anywhere in the world to protect Indian national interest.

I don't know why people have to reply to a question by the Chinese member in ridiculous ways - especially when they are
clueless about the answer to his question.

@wanglaokan - The program is basically split 50-50. The front-end of the missile (nose cone, seeker, fore fins, processors
etc.) are from Israel while the rear-end (rocket motor, nozzle, thrust-vector/jet vane control, and rear fins) are from India.

Both sides have critical inputs and without them the Barak-8 wouldn't be the Barak-8. Israel's contribution provides the
next-generation seeker heads (I heard there is a dual-seeker arrangement) while India's contribution gives it the all-important
dual-pulse rocket motor & advanced thrust control that gives it an extremely high lateral acceleration of 80g - way higher
than comparable missiles like the Aster-15/30.

The work share is very clearly cut out - AFAIK there will be no "steady increase in indigenization" as far as production
is concerned. Barak-8/LRSAM will be produced in both India & Israel, and all front-end components for both production
lines will be from Israel while all rear-end components for missiles produced in either country will be from India.

I won't call it a joint venture unless it could be produced in India. it sounds more like a FGFA project, which you provide money only.
You won't call it a JV unless your freedom govt of China dint approved . And number 2 we don't care if u belive it or not . Don't spoil this thread .Learn from it at least u can snoop for ur next baraka CX 69 mrsam made in heaven for inovative technology People Republic of China
