Indo-Australian Nuclear Deal Concluded; Nuclear deal with Japan up for Final Round of Negotiations!

Western perspective on India is they are good puppy, very kind, and always obeying to masters, check history.

Good news for India.

A little shocking, however, to see the hypocrisy of the international nuclear community. India hasn't signed the NPT or the CTBT but it's okay. The treaties don't matter unless you're dealing with a Muslim nuclear power. Then everybody loses their mind. Still a long way to go I guess. Got our chin up and dragging ourselves to the line.

Better than most if you ask me.

Edit: See post #30 below for elaboration.
There is no hypocrisy. Please come out of the regular Pakistani muslim persecution complex.

While India and Pakistan both are not signatories of NPT, their records on nuclear proliferation are as different as day and night.

Pakistan has been found to have sold nuclear know-how to many countries like Iran and North Korea. Now while Pakistani Govt has said that it was an individual who did this, the rest of the international community has rejected this though they did not say anything overtly on account of Pakistans role in WoT.
For example - Pakistan sold nuclear know-how to North Korea in lieu of N.Korean Ballistic Missiles. Does this seem like an Individuals deal or a State deal using that individual.
Further confirmation of this covert State support was received when A.Q.Khan was summarily pardoned by (then) President of Pakistan Musharraf.

In light of these dealings the International Community(particularly the European and Nordic countries) agreed to waiver the NPT accords for India and not for Pakistan.

Just as it was Pakistan's prerogative to sell nuclear know-how to these countries (which was also illegal mind you even for Pakistan as there were global nuclear-sanctions on these nations as they did sign the NPT even if Pakistan did not), it is the prerogative of the Rest of the World to reward or not countries that have acted as responsible nuclear players.

Pakistanis tend to have this particular tendency to forget their own country's actions and start demanding parity with others who led a more restricted existence.

If you weren't so shallow, you'd understand why I used the word Muslim, rather than Pakistani. I meant to allude to Iran as well.
Your allusion to Iran is wrong as well.
Iran has signed the NPT. It has also been found that Iran had secret nuclear reactors where they were enriching Uranium beyond the limit required for running power plants.

As such the International community of NPT signatories deemed that Iran was/is actively trying to violate the NPT by building nuclear weapons. The sanctions are a result of that. Again - nothing to do with Muslims or non-Muslims.

Lastly - whether or not India's nuclear safety is above or below Pakistan, what matters is the intent of the State to uphold non-proliferation beyond their national/militaristic goals. Pakistan did that. Pakistan may have better nuclear safety norms now but they become irrelevant if the State of Pakistan decides to starts hawking nuclear know-how again.

Do you see the logic?

Also, for your information, the reason that Pakistan now has better safety norms is because their nuclear dealings got exposed and the US particularly was worried about this and about stability of Pakistan as a State. Consequently they provided more help in these norms. It may also interest you to know that Pakistan also has better nuclear warhead security than India - again a result of US and RTOW(Rest of the World) concerns about safety of Pakistans warheads and US actively helping Pakistan in this.

Actually nothing to do with religion. India has an impeccable non-proliferation record, has a clear demarcation between its civilian and military nuclear efforts, has a history of stable democratically elected governments and to top it all off is a HUGE market. Pakistan has none of these things.
False.
India did not have any demarcation between civilian and military nuclear efforts. All Indian nuclear efforts were dual use - uptil the Nuclear Agreement with US and then NSG was signed.

It was a condition of the deal that we segregate the reactors into these two categories. However there is a flaw in this, our research reactors (like the FBR and Thorium reactors) also come under the Military category even though they are not for Military use at all, but they have to be kept out of International inspections.

Our nuclear scientist was not the one who run around the world selling nuclear technology. It has nothing to do with Muslims.. It has everything to do with Pakistan..

And calling Pakistani Nuclear Bomb an Islamic Bomb didn't help with their credibility either!
