Indigenously-built F22P Frigate Commissioned

.
Perhaps Pakistan should consider acquiring this:

with standard displacement of some 1500 tons,24-cell VLS(anti-air、anti-ship、anti-sub)and helicopter hangar。

Order 4,with the 1st built in China and the rest in Pakistan following the path of the F-22P。

I am sure that PN might going to design a 2100 ton corvette with Chinese help and hopefully that the new F-22P Block-IIs will be 3800 Tons with Anti Air and Anti Ship Missiles will be VLS. And hopefully about 5-7 will be produced...

Same sonar is fitted on this Danish Mammoth!
It is also a contender for the LCS ASW-package.

German company Atlas Elektronik(a BAE SYSTEM company) offer its ASO-94 hull mounted sonar system for PN F-22 frigates, ASO-94 is medium frequency sonar system, designed for surveillance of the underwater environment, for detection, localisation, classification and tracking of targets. Choice of different operational modes and parameter settings allow for optimal detection of targets in littoral (shallow) and deep water. The sonar efficiently can be use for the classical ASW tasks. ASO94 sonar is capable to detect: Submarine, Midget, mini submarines,AUVs and UUVs, Torpedoes, Moored mines and underwater obstacles, surface vessels, speed boats etc.

The Royal Danish Navy has ordered thee ATLAS Hullmounted Sonar Systems (Type ASO 94) for the 3 Ivar Huitfeldt Patrol Ships and the 2 Absalon class flexible support ships. Similar sonars are on the Dutch Zeven Provincien class (DSQS-24C) and the German Sachsen class (DSQS-24B) frigates

So technically F-22p does have a very potent anti-sub capability.
Armament may not be as good as we'd like it to be, but its doable for the size of the ship.

Oh come on, some members, yea it's not the best, but it's a step forward.for bigger better tomorrow.

India's missile force is not as good as China should India stop trying or be laughed at? China still stuck on engines, america got f22 and f35 problems.

This is a step forward and should be looked at as an acomplishment for the military industry.

finally a sensible chinese member

. . . . .
He meant that China is not the best engine maker so far, thus there is no point to laugh at others when we are not the best. :coffee:

i pointed out to (n liked) the way that guy accepted how it takes time to develop n build up stuff.....which was way different from other chinese guys who go gung ho about their tech n india's toilets....

Karachi, Apr 17 2013: An impressive ceremony on the event of commissioning of 4th F-22P ship PNS ASLAT, indigenously built at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd was held today. Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila, Chief of the Naval Staff, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The ceremony was attended by high ranking officials/dignitaries from China and Pakistan including HE Ambassador of Peoples Republic of China, Vice President China State Shipbuilding Corporation. (CSSC).

The commissioning of PNS ASLAT and its handing over to Pakistan Navy’s Fleet culminates the historic contract signed in 2005 for construction of three F-22P ships in China and transfer of technology for indigenous construction of fourth ship at Karachi Shipyard. The timely and successful delivery of all ships including the indigenously built 4th ship, speaks volumes of cooperation and commitment of CSTC/HZ Shipyard, Karachi Shipyard and Naval Headquarters.

PNS ASLAT is fitted with state of the art weapons and sensors, which make it a highly potent platform capable to operate under multi threat environment. Inclusion of this unit in Pakistan Navy’s Destroyer Squadron shall further strengthen and augment its capabilities to defend the sea frontiers.

Chief Guest congratulated all those who participated in this project, especially, workers and management of KS&EW and Chinese Engineers/Technicians for their support, cooperation and untiring efforts. Construction of PNS ASLAT has certainly enhanced capabilities of Karachi Shipyard in the indigenous construction of warships, not only for Pakistan Navy but for other navies of the region. Construction of warship and other platforms like Fast Attack Craft (Missile), Small Tanker cum Utility Ships, Tugs etc at Karachi Shipyard reflects indigenization policy of the government especially attaining self-reliance in defence capabilities.
