Who cares where he's living even i used to Live in USA (ULHASNAGAR)
From a news source:Good Luck DRDO!
BTW anyone knows what difference this test would have from prev one, if any?
this is just a 50 years old tech. completely different from China's land based mid course interceptor.
to have any mid course interception, you need kkv technologies, so far india has almost zero knowledge in that area. Check on wikipedia to see what is KKV.
oh, don't feel sad, russia doesn't have the technology. there are only two nations can do it: the USA and China.

nothing to show to the public. it is a 50 years old technology. China mastered it like 30-40 years ago.

In 2009, reports emerged of a new missile named the PDV. The PDV is said to be a two solid stage hypersonic anti-ballistic missile similar in class to the THAAD.
The PDV is intended to replace the existing PAD in the PAD/AAD combination. It will have an IIR seeker for its kill vehicle as well.
The PDV will replace the PAD with a far more capable missile and will complete the Phase 1 of the BMD system, allowing it to be operational by 2013. Whereupon Phase 2 development will take over for protection against missiles of the 5,000 km (3,100 mi) range class.
The PDV is designed to take out the target missile at altitudes above 150 km (93 mi).
The Phase 2 missile defense system will be based on the AD-1 and AD-2 interceptor missile that are currently under development.
"Ground testing of the AD-1 will begin next year and the AD-1 missile will be test-fired in 2012," Saraswat told India Today in June 2010.
These interceptors would be capable of shooting down missiles that have ranges greater than 5,000 km, which follow a distinctly different trajectory than a missile with a range of 2,000 km or less. During their final phase, ICBMs hurtle towards their targets at speeds twice those of intermediate range missiles.
1) Missile technology is 200 years old technology.this is just a 50 years old tech. completely different from China's land based mid course interceptor.

Ah, the same peaceful of the "India does not have wind tunnels" fame!
1. So, a two tiered terminal phase missile defence system with techs like gimballed directional warhead with P charge and with a combined hit probability of 99.8% was achieved 50 years back?.......................
.........Maybe on krypton!
2. Wrong! Kinetic kill vehicle is not necessary for mid course interception. And India is working on HTK tech.
3. Yeah, that is correct! The Indian scientist felt so sad that they desined a new missile called PDV to replace the PAD.
So, there you have it! The next test of PAD will actually be PDV and yup, mid course interception is the target!
P.S. Rumors are that this was tested in 2010 but kept under wraps. But anyway, they will declare the test this year.
And a glimpse of the near future!
2) KKV? We master hit-to-kill technology much before you learned the word KKv. lol
Bro apart from going into technical capabilities we can also mark the words of Dr. Saraswat, who himself stated about HTK and details the interceptors are not available.Kinetic bhai, do you have any info on the Indian HTK efforts?
The only related thing I heard was PAD achieving a "direct hit" on the target missile in one of the tests. But, everywhere else I find "gimballed p charge warhead" associated with PAD and AAD.
Also, Dr. Saraswat told media that we would be testing the PDV in june/july 2010, however, the reports about july 26 test mention AAD.
Has there been some smoke and mirrors from DRDO on this front just like the numerous pseudo Prithvi tests for testing systems like Shaurya?
he may be a chinese spy in taiwanThe troll claims to be from Taiwan, isn't it?
I thought all those missiles of PRC were actually meant for him?
To target him, to be precise.
